TORCH WEEKLY MVP STANDINGS 9/5 - MVP standings for WWE Raw, ECW, SD - Top wrestler, Top Diva, History of MVPs Sep 5, 2009 - 3:25:41 PM
After each weekly episode of WWE Raw, ECW TV, TNA Impact, and WWE Smackdown (starting last week after Summerslam), we post an "MVP of the Show" poll asking Torch readers to vote for the MVP of the show.
Over time, the tendency for the poll to turn into a "popularity contest" averages out over a period of 15 or so weeks to find a true MVP during a specific stretch of time.
We started tracking the weekly WWE Raw MVP poll in January and ran Season 1 of Raw from the Royal Rumble until WrestleMania 25. Randy Orton snuck out an MVP of Raw victory over Chris Jericho during that time period.
We then ran Season Two of Raw and Season One of ECW from WrestleMania until Summerslam. For Season Three of Raw, Season Two of ECW, and Season One of Smackdown, we'll run from the week after Summerslam until Survivor Series in November. Season Four, Three, and Two will then be Survivor Series back to the Royal Rumble to find out who the "MVPs" on WWE TV are in the four seasons during the year.
For TNA, we started tracking after the Lockdown PPV in April. We'll look at their MVP seasons from Lockdown in April to Hard Justice in August. Then, from Hard Justice to Turning Point in November. Then, from Turning Point to Lockdown in April again.
Every weekend, we'll post a weekly MVP standings for each of the four TV shows we're tracking to show how each wrestler is being voted by Torch readers. We'll only show regular wrestlers and not non-wrestlers who appear on an infrequent basis such as the weekly Raw Guest Host or Vince McMahon.
