-Vince McMahon walked out and said the NWO music played for the last time. He said that later he would announce a new general manager for Raw and later in the week a new GM for Smackdown. He said it was the beginning of a new era, citing past eras gone by such as Bruno Sammartino, Superstars Graham, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, and Steve Austin.

(1) Eddie Guerrero & Chris Benoit & William Regal beat Jeff Hardy & Bubba Ray Dudley & Spike Dudley in a six-man elimination match when Benoit put Hardy away with a Crippler Crossface at 14:30. Good match, but not as good as the X Division TNA matches it attempted to emulate.

-Johnathan Coachman stood outside Vince McMahon's office, speculating who could be the GM. He suggested Mick Foley, Vince's brother Rod McMahon, or maybe even Paul Heyman. Heyman walked up and entered Vince's office. A woman then ran in and said the GM had arrived... After a commercial break, Shane McMahon entered Vince's office, implying he was GM. Instead, Shane blasted Vince for whom he had chosen to be GM, calling him a parasite who would ruin the company.

-Tommy Dreamer and Rob Van Dam agreed they were glad Heyman wasn't the new GM. RVD left and Steven Richards walked in and challenged Dreamer to a Singapore Cane match. Richards then attacked Dreamer.

(2) Dreamer beat Richards in the cane match. Dreamer bled heavily.

-Coachman interviewed Booker T backstage. Booker said he felt like celebrating the end of the NWO. Booker ordered Coachman to do the Coacharoonie. Coach demented himself again with a bad Spinarooni. Booker asked Coachman if he was sure he was black. Eric Bischoff then walked into the screen and said hi to Booker. It was Bishcoff's first appearance, and it was cool to have his first appearance be out of nowhere like that. Booker said, "Tell me I didn't just see that!"

-Ross and Lawler were actually still pretending not to know who the GM was until Vince said it. The second hour began with Vince walking onto the stage and introducing Eric Bischoff as the new GM. They hugged and shook hands. Bischoff then walked out, sporting black hair and a lot more weight. He did his usual smarmy routine, and then ran down his history in the Monday Night Wars. It was a long interview; Ross called it surreal.

(3) Trish Stratus beat Molly Holly at 2:50.

-Backstage Bischoff told Flair they should start fresh. Flair said he had a match to prepare for and walked right past him.

(4) Booker T beat Big Show at 3:50 via DQ when Show shoved the ref.

-Paul Heyman gave Brock Lesnar a pep talk backstage. He bragged - right in front of the camera - that Undertaker bought all of his B.S. about respecting him. Brock said that's what he pays Paul for.

(5) Bradshaw vs. Chris Nowinski for the Hardcore Title. Nowinski lay down to let Bradshaw pin him, but when Bradshaw took the bait, Nowinski attempted a roll up. Bradshaw kicked out, and they brawled to the back. Johnny the Bull blindsided Bradshaw and pinned him to win the title.

-Big Show visited Bischoff in his backstage office. He said he was saddened by the end of the NWO, but Bischoff's arrival has brightened his day. Big Show asked for a no rules match at Vengeance. Bischoff granted him his wish.

-Heyman gave Brock and Taker a pep talk. Taker and Brock had a staredown.

(6) Brock Lesnar & Undertaker beat Ric Flair & Rob Van Dam when Taker surprised RVD, who was battling Lesnar at the time, with a powerbomb and a pin at 10:06. Good main event action. Lesnar attacked Taker from behind after the match.

-The show ended with Bischoff making a cell phone call to The Rock pitching that he join Raw.
