Low Ki, then Xavier, then Samoa Joe. Those are the first three ROH World champions in company history.

On March 22, 2003, Joe captured the ROH Title at "Night of the Champions" in Philadelphia. He then held the title for nearly two years until losing to Austin Aries at Final Battle 2004.

Twelve years later, Joe has returned to ROH to challenge Jay Briscoe for the ROH World Title at "Supercard of Honor" during WrestleMania Weekend.
