PWTORCH #837: 11/25 SMACKDOWN REPORT
THE BIG STORY by Wade Keller, Torch editor

The surprising elimination of Daniel Rodimer was the story of an otherwise uneventful edition of Smackdown. With Thanksgiving evening being traditionally the lowest-rated night for wrestling each year, WWE didn't offer any major storylines advancements or anything special to make up for the lack of storyline advancements.

Al Snow came out with the remaining five Tough Enough contestants. He asked Ryan Reeves if he wanted to quit considering he had two broken ribs and couldn't train. He said no and explained how he would never quit. It was then announced that fan voting eliminated Rodimer. Snow then announced there would be an arm wrestling competition this week. Mike Mizanin lost to a left-handed Daniel Puder, then claimed afterward that Puder is a brown-noser. Reeves beat Justice Smith. Smith picked Puder to win. Miz said Reeves would win. Puder won, although he had an earlier round one which helped.

MATCH RESULTS & STAR RATINGS

(1) Rey Mysterio beat Rene Dupree (w/Fifi) clean after a 619 and Dime-Drop. Torrie Wilson was guest ring announcer. Dupree's face was busted up from the Hardcore Holly beating.

(2) Rob Van Dam beat Kenzo Suzuki (w/Hiroko) via DQ when Hiroko interfered. Ring announcer Torrie and Hiroko had a cat fight afterward.

(3) Kurt Angle beat Cody Steele via tapout to the anklelock. This was part of the Kurt Angle Invitiation series of squashes to fill time until Angle is involved in something meaningful.

(4) JBL & Orlando Jordan beat Eddie Guerrero & Booker T. Danny and Doug Basham interfered from the crowd leading to JBL pinning Guerrero. They were disguised under lucha masks. The lights went off and on afterward, and then Undertaker was standing mid-ring and beat up JBL and Jordan.

OTHER NOTES

They did Thanksgiving-related skits during the show, including Hiroko asking Kenzo whether he'd like a leg or wings for turkey dinner. Kenzo, looking at Torrie, said he wanted breasts... JBL's image consultant, Amy Webber, manipulated Booker T and Guerrero against each other to try to hurt their chances in the main event. Guerrero said Booker brags about being a five-time WCW Champ because he's never won the big won. Booker took a dig at Guerrero's family... Cole and Tazz interviewed Carlito Cool and Jesus who predicted that John Cena would never return. Cole said Cena had been urinating blood since the attack by Jesus last week... RVD said he was happy to be getting a tag title shot at the next PPV... Big Show ate a Thanksgiving feast in the ring with Joy, but Luther Reigns interrupted. He threw a pie at Joy and then Show retalliated. A food fight started with Tazz, Cole, Josh Matthews, and ring announcer Tony Chimmel involved... Josh interviewed Paul Heyman who said Heidenreich couldn't enjoy Thanksgiving because he had issues he was dealing with... Dawn Marie and Jackie had a "match" which was just a catfight...
