WWE Raw Flashback - 10 years ago
March 17, 2003
Live from St. Louis, Mo.
By Wade Keller, PWTorch editor

The Countdown to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's final match at WrestleMania 19 in 2003 against The Rock continued...

A graphic dedicated the show to the men and women of the U.S. Military... Eric Bischoff cut an in-ring promo and said that every member of the Raw roster would serve as a lumberjack for his match with Steve Austin...

(1) Rob Van Dam & Kane beat Chief Morley & Lance Storm. Afterward, the Dudleys walked to the ring and attacked Van Dam and Kane, even going so far as to 3D Kane through a table.

Backstage, the Dudleys told Morley they were joining his faction with Bischoff only because they need to feed their families. Morley responded by lifting their suspension.

Triple H and Ric Flair cut a promo that was void of the racial slurs they've been throwing at Booker T. Instead, it was Jerry Lawler on commentary who made a comment about Booker likely being in jail. Goldust walked to the ring and stood up for Booker. The heels attacked Goldust, which led to Booker running out for the save.

(2) Maven beat Rico (w/Rosey, Jamal).

Shawn Michaels entered Austin's dressing room and told him that he had agreed to be one of the lumberjacks. Austin said he wasn't concerned with the lumberjacks.

(3) The Hurricane beat Rodney Mack (w/Teddy Long) by DQ when Rock attacked Hurricane with repeated chairshots.

(4) Victoria & Steven Richards beat Jazz & Trish Stratus. Jazz walked out on Trish, which left her open to a double-team from the heels.

Backstage, Chris Jericho cut a serious promo about his desire to end the legacy of Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania.

(5) Chris Jericho & Christian beat Scott Steiner & Test (w/Stacy Keibler). Christian bumped Stacy from the ring apron into the arms of Steiner. Test was distracted by the site of Stacy in Steiner's arms and was rolled up for the pin.

(6) Triple H (w/Ric Flair) beat Goldust (w/Booker T) in a non-title match.

Backstage, Rock told Bischoff to ditch the lumberjack stips in favor of a No DQ match.

(7) Steve Austin beat Eric Bischoff (w/Morley) in a No DQ match. Afterward, Rock hit the Rock Bottom on Austin and stole his beer.
