-- WWE Raw Reax

John Mobley, PWTorch reader: Two fantastic promos tonight: Paul Heyman with his ability to keep the crowd hooked, and, holy crap, Mark Henry with the best promo he had in a long time! Props to Lana for looking genuinely afraid for her life. Match-wise, I'm not sure how Van Dam getting the pin in the six-man tag helps whatever Reigns-Orton issue is still going on. And I'm not exactly happy with the Ziggler-Miz feud continuing. Seriously, every time they move Ziggler forward, they find a way to drag him back. Finally, the Ambrose-Rollins match. I love how Ambrose made it look like he just discovered that a table was there. Same thing with the running across the announce tables. Oh, and now it's the German announce table?!

Richard Houghland, PWTorch reader: I have been growing more and more displeased with the WWE experience lately. The main burdens to my enjoyment are - in no particular order - the incessant shilling for the Network to the exclusion of matches and storylines, Brock Lesnar being the foregone champion, Cena being unappreciated, and the Stephanie-Brie feud, which has quickly became a course in Bullying 101. After reading about Summerslam, I was disappointed that Creative has apparently gone with the extremely uncomfortable decision to push not only a barely adequate performer as champion, but to have a twin sister feud storyline featuring the incredibly shrill and unpleasant Stephanie. Brock Lesnar is indeed a great fighter and wrestler, but when it comes to professional wrestling he is patently unwatchable. Much like when TNA went through a phase where they were unwatchable and I only kept up by reading PWTorch reports, I plan on doing that with WWE. Sadly, I managed to watch snippets of Raw while looking for something to watch and the two things I took from tonight were the Bellas-Stephanie storyline is still unpleasant and distasteful and the plot behind the Rollins/Kane-Ambrose got too violent. A Curb Stomp into a stack of "cinder" blocks while the supposed DOO helps? Too far, by far.
