-- WWE Raw Reax 11/19

Dave, college student: I thought this was the worst Raw of the three-hour era, or maybe it's just reached a breaking point. The three-hour shows need to end because right now WWE is putting on shows that would be terrible in two hours of length. The only thing I found enjoyable was the backstage brawl between Cena and Ziggler because it was something different in a ridiculous storyline and had nice intensity to it. However, it came after a very anti-female promo by Ziggler. He didn't just rip on A.J.; he ripped on all women and that's where the segment went wrong for me. Had Ziggler only bickered with A.J. and not complained about all women, I felt it would have been a great segment. After hearing Ziggler rip on women, it made me sure that someone on the writing team got ditched on their prom night. "Linda's done with her campaign, we can go back to hating women" was the message.

I thought C.M. Punk's celebration was really lame considering the titles have never meant less. This reign may be the start to getting the titles back on the right track, but for now it's a joke. The difference between guys like Hulk, Bret, and Austin, who Punk mentioned in his promo, is that they were actually the reason people came to the show. For the past year, things like Cena-Rock or even A.J.'s character have been more important than Punk and better television. As the weeks have gone on, Punk has become a channel-changer just like the rest of the show. Screaming "best in the world," using Macho Man's moves, and bringing up guys from the past who were way bigger stars, isn't the way to keep viewers around. At least not me. It makes me want to find my DVDs with champions who were actually entertaining.

Overall, though, I'm not really blaming any wrestler for the product being down, I blame WWE. Right now, the characters are flat, boring, and sitting through three hours of it is impossible. If Raw continues the path they're on, the most interesting part about it will become how far attendance and ratings drop.

We welcome your Reax and 0-10 score on Monday's Raw following Survivor Series to pwtorch@gmail.com.
