-- 1/11 Question of the Day Reax: How would you book John Cena vs. C.M. Punk on next Monday's Raw?
PunkCMArt_130GG_40.jpg

Bradd Mielke of Sleepy Eye, Minn.: If WWE could show restraint for once, I'd like to see the match between C.M. Punk and John Cena be short and sweet. The announcers should acknowledge fully that Cena had a devastating hip injury and that he may be coming back too quickly. Punk should immediately cheap-shot John Cena in the hip with a huge side-kick that drops Cena to the canvas in extreme pain. No superman comeback this time, just extreme agony and pain on the face of John Cena as he writhes on the mat and screams in pain. The announcers say only they were afraid Punk would do something like this and Cena clearly was not ready to come back. Have Cena pass out from the pain. Make sure medical officials are given time to carefully handle Cena in the ring while fans look on in stunned disbelief and fear. Punk should play against the norm. Instead of gloating or smiling while this is going on, show him with no emotions at all. And no Nexus involvement. This feud will become so much more interesting.

Chris of Cortland, N.Y.: I don't think they should have a full-blown match on Raw, save it for the Rumble. WWE could have them wrestle for a bit, then Nexus interferes and beats up Cena as he sells a re-aggravated injury, leading to Cena vs. Punk at the Rumble. ... I liked Nexus until last night's Raw. Now, I want them gone as soon as possible. Time to move on.

Steve of New Orleans, La.: If WWE wants to make this a decent rivalry, they shouldn't let this match happen. Yes, nexus jumping Cena is getting old, but something like that should happen. I'm tired of watching PPVs that are no more than Raw re-matches. Creative has to come up with a way to make Mondays less stale.

John of Los Angeles, Calif.: Nexus can only remain strong with numbers, and if the core of the group contains the original NXT Rookies. I didn't think Barrett needed to leave Nexus altogether, and would have preferred him to remain as Punk's subordinate. More than anything, the guys need personality. At any rate, it would be foolish to blow off the Cena-Punk angle so soon after it started, so I would book Punk personally leading an attack on Cena right when the match begins, and with Gabriel and Slater re-joining the fold, possibly by serving as the initial sacrificial lambs to Cena's beat down before the Nexus get the upper hand. I'm still convinced WWE can carry a Cena-Punk program all the way to Wrestlemania, and regain Nexus's heat along the way by allowing them to be even more ruthless and unpredictable.

Haris Gala, PWTorch reader: I believe it's too early for WWE to give away a WrestleMania caliber match. Therefore, I guess WWE is going to deliver as little of a match as possible between the two on Raw. John Cena is going to enter first, followed by C.M. Punk with his Nexus. Punk is going to send every member of Nexus one after another to fight John Cena. Cena will eventually take out them all until Punk finally decides to walk down the ramp. Cena will be looking toward Punk, giving the other Nexus members a chance to regain their conscience, enter the ring ,and take out Cena from behind. It will be a typical Nexus beat down. Once Cena is completely out, Punk will order the referee to ring the bell, then he'll hit Cena with a GTS and cover Cena for a successful pin.

We still welcome your thoughts on the Question of the Day sent to pwtorch@gmail.com.
