-- 11/22 WWE Survivor Series PPV Reax

Luke Fleeman of Tulare, Calif. (7.5): Best Match: Team Kofi vs. Team Orton traditional match. Worst Match: Divas Survivor Series match. I thought this was a good, but not great pay-per-view. The Survivor Series matches were good, with good action, and I enjoyed them. I particularly thought the Kingston vs. Orton match did well, even with the eliminated members having strong performances that won't hurt them. The women's match was predictably bad. While Mysterio-Batista was okay, I thought it greatly elevated Batista, but made Mysterio look like a total chump. The Smackdown three-way was fine, I guess. Taker, despite being decrepit and boring, keeps the title. I don't see how him holding the belt helps anyone, since he will never elevate anyone and doesn't need it to be over. The Raw three-way started incredibly. HBK's superkick of Triple H was shocking and great to start. I also thought the ending was fun and compelling. My biggest problem was the same three-way problem WWE always has. It is basically a regular singles match because they each take turns being out. It makes it predictable and a little boring. Overall, I basically enjoyed the matches and the potential storyline implications, but this event didn't have any must-see matches or memorable moments to make it great.

Josh Clarke of Columbus, Ohio (4.5): Best Match: Team Kofi vs. Team Orton. Worst Match: Typical Divas Disaster Match. This was the first pay-per-view of WWE's that I've bought since WrestleMania. Well, thank you, Vince, for once again shoving John Cena down the throats of any wrestling fan under the age of 12. More on that in a moment. The opening match of Team Morrison vs. Team Miz was all right. It was more of a showcase for some future talent (especially Miz, who was destroyed by Cena in typical fashion a few months ago) rather than a spectacular match. Rey vs. Batista was about the trainwreck I expected. I'm starting to get offended at the way Rey keeps using Eddie as a way to generate crowd favor. (Hint, Rey, it isn't working.) No wonder everybody was cheering for Batista. His character actually works now. Team Kofi vs. Team Orton had a slow start, but it turned out to be a nice showing for Christian and cementing Kofi as a future headliner (at least until Cena buries him too). The Divas match was the typical missed cues and botched moves. It wasn't as bad as usual, though. The Taker-Jericho-Big Show match was slow and plodding and I feel bad for Jericho, who is the best heel in the business but apparently not good enough to carry a title. Finally, we have SuperCena vs. DX. I loved the superkick at the start of the match, although a blind man could've seen that ending coming a mile away. I'm not going to purchase any more PPVs that have John Cena in a championship match. I'm getting sick of spending 40 bucks of the same match and the same ending over and over.
