-- 11/22 WWE Survivor Series PPV Reax

Joseph Columbo of Boston, Mass. (4.5): Michael Cole said this year's Survivor Series was unforgettable, but the only thing I'll remember is Christian's Rap. The opener was decent, but I was upset Ziggler and Morrison didn't get to do much to continue their feud. Miz proved why's he's awesome and he picked up a solid victory with two future World Champions. Batista vs. Rey Mysterio was very well told and Matt Striker did a great job of selling the story about their past friendships. Even though WWE tried to hide the fact Batista was from Washington, D.C., the fans still didn't buy into his heel turn. Team Orton vs. Team Kingston was decent at most. No Legacy break-up tease? Or no DiBiase face turn? Punk played a great heel as usual and Christian being the most experienced carried his team until the end. The World Title match was a mess. The Big Show slowed this match down a lot. Kane is a big guy but can move ten times faster than Show can. Kane would have made a better substitute for Big Show. Pretty predictable match with Undertaker winning. It was surprising the divas got a good ten minutes to wrestle. Decent match, but nothing special. The main event was a little sloppy, but the poor build-up didn't prove to be much of a factor at all. I wanted DX to come out separately, but Michaels kicking Hunter at the start should have happened on Raw to increase the hype and interest. I was hoping Michaels would win, so we could see Michaels vs. Cena all over again. Okay match. The right person won. Hunter vs. Michaels at TLC?

Alex Mobley of Louisville, Ky (9.0): Best: traditional Survivor Series matches and main events. Worst: Batista-Rey and divas match. I think this has to be considered one of the best PPVs all year. All of the matches served their purpose, except the divas match. (I can't believe Beth was beaten so easily.) I don't care who you are, nobody saw the sweet chin music at the very beginning of the main event coming. I have to say that's a strong contender for Match of the Year. In just one night, I have fallen in love with Matt Striker. He was hilarious. The two Survivor Series-style matches were very good. I like how WWE is pushing Kofi the way they are. I also think Christian proved he needs to be on another brand. The Miz shined once again and I'm shocked Ziggler went out that quick. As for Smackdown's main event, Jericho is really the best in WWE and his Winnipeg line was hilarious. All three put on a good show. The Batista-Rey match was kind of weak and I don't think Rey got a beat down that looked like he should be out. But the main event made up for everything. Was it me or did Triple H get the biggest pop out of Cena and Michaels? But at the end, it was all Michaels. I haven't been that caught up in a match since Taker vs. Shawn Michaels, so I'm really impressed with this whole PPV. Let's all hope that this is the end of Degeneration X once and for all.
