-- 11/16 WWE Raw Reax

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (5.0): Best: Orton-Kingston brawl. Worst: do I have to say it...again? If this edition of Raw were a "Biggest Loser" contest, this one would have been voted out after the "last chance" workout. Roddy Piper is fine in bits and pieces, but he rambled too much. And this time he was actually portrayed as a guest host with no real GM powers. Miz vs. MVP was on its way to being a pretty good title match...then it was over before it could really take off. Santino vs. Chavo was on its way to being a fun little comedy match...then Hornswoggle came out to ruin it. DX comes out in what should have been a solid promo to salvage the triple threat build. What comes instead is a little bit about the build, a little more time to plug merchandise, and even more time to deal with Hornswoggle. The fact that the crowd didn't really boo Hornswoggle getting a Pedigree, plus DX carrying Hornswoggle to the back, killed the idea that either of them were heels in the match. Triple H will probably be the designated match heel outside of Cena getting his usual mixed reaction. The lumberjill match turned into a nice free-for-all; I just wish WWE thought of their women's division more to build that up some. Swagger gets his heat and his win back from Evan Bourne. Whatever: lather, rinse, and repeat. It was nice that Lawler enhanced the Sheamus monster heel run. The Orton-Kingston segment was logically placed on the show to move the Orton-Kingston feud another step upwards, but where exactly did Vince go? With Ventura on tap for next week, there's a conspiracy theory to wrap your mind around. The main event was stuff put together in a rush starting in the overrun. In the end, Undertaker pinned Triple H and Tombstoned Cena. Indicators here give Shawn the advantage, but it's looking like #14 for Hunter Hearst Helmsley on Sunday. Yippee (dripping with sarcasm)!

M. Swindley of Kingston, Ont., Lawyer (7.5): Best: Kofi-Orton brawl. Worst: Lack of follow-up on certain feuds. 1. Biggest non-surprise of the evening: Swagger destroys Bourne in a re-match from last week. However, why were the Miz and Swagger kept apart this week? Wouldn't it have made sense for Swagger to interrupt The Miz's match with MVP in retribution for last week? 2. Where was Legacy last night? Perhaps their lack of a run-in save will give a reason for an Orton blow-up and a full-fledged DiBiase face turn. 3. The Kofi-Orton segment was the best WWE TV this year. Bar none. 4. Santino is over. Big time. And he's actually growing on me. 5. I hope this isn't the last we see of Piper-McMahon. You could cut the personal tension and animosity between these two with a knife. 6. What was with Michael Cole's commentary applauding the DX pedigree on Horny? And what was with the lack of Cena mentioning it? Cena saves Horny for the past two weeks from verbal threats, but doesn't bother to show up when HHH teases a pedigree? FINAL THOUGHTS: WWE did a great job in some build-up, specifically Orton-Kofi and the Cena-Taker WM26 tease. However, they failed to continue building up other feuds, such as Miz-Swagger and Cena-DX. Let's be honest - while WWE delivered an above-quality show, they still haven't given a reason to order Survivor Series on Sunday.
