ECW TV Reax #1: "Where does Christian go from here? With Regal as champ, ECW would have received a good shake-up"

-- 11/10 ECW TV Reax

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (5.0): Best: Regal vs. Christian. Worst: Ryder-Rosa segment. This show got off to a better start than usual considering ... Abraham Washington. The "Rush Hour" channeling was predictable but slightly cute. What in the world are they doing to Zack Ryder? ECW has too small a roster to taint the show with crappy storylines. Right now, the only thing that would make sense in the storyline is that Rosa's playing mind game on Ryder for Benjamin. Weak that it is, at least it's something that could explain a double turn between them. I would have liked to have known what the "SEB" on Burchill's arm was, but, of course, to do that would make him less of a heel. I guess wrestling forgets heels are human. The match with Goldust was decent and the pro-Brit crowd was expected. Goldust's win (albeit with Hurricane's help to further along the Burchill-Hurricane feud) made me think that it would be balanced by a Regal win in the main event. With Christian winning, I got the feeling the crowd died. The UK wanted Regal to win; sorry, Christian, so did I. Where does Christian go from here? With Regal as champ, ECW would get a huge shake-up for a while. Christian has faced Regal, Ryder, and Yoshi. Burchill may be heading elsewhere, Archer has just arrived, and WWE isn't even thinking about Kozlov, Jackson, Hurricane, or Benjamin in the title picture. I'm actually penalizing tonight's fairly decent show for the mistake in judgment.

-- 11/9 WWE Raw Reax

Jon Gargis of Cartersville, Ga. I can't give the show the score since I didn't watch it. Raw has given me few reasons to watch every Monday since the fall season began. Had WWE pulled the trigger on a Cena move to Smackdown, it would have opened the door for a wealth of fresh matches on the blue brand, and perhaps would have allowed Raw to move an up-and-comer toward the title hunt instead of keeping the stale Cena-Triple H-Orton-etc. formula of the past few years. With those dreams dashed, my one hope is that next week's Raw main event may tease a possible WrestleMania 26 match - Cena vs. The Undertaker - as it's the only match where fans would believe Taker might just earn his first WM loss. But with March still months away, we have Survivor Series to consider. With DX and Cena all considered faces, I want to see a long-awaited Michaels turn, as I don't see Cena being made the bad guy and Triple H has taken that road before. I remember a Survivor Series a few years ago where the winning team members each got to run Raw for a week. How come SS tag match participants haven't been offered any incentives? What makes anyone on the roster want to team with anyone else amid their individual feud? Roddy Piper as next week's guest host could be interesting and make me want to watch, but Raw still needs to freshen up before it can become must-watch.
