Sam of Brookfield, Wis. Best: John Cena's backstage interaction with Ricky Hatton's son and Cena on mic. Worst: No Survivor Series team buildups. If WWE wants viewers to shell out $44.95 starting next year for one of the major PPVs of the year, they better make the team storyline for the Survivor Series match compelling instead of focusing on individual storylines. When is DX going to stop playing buddy-buddy? It is noteworthy that almost each week, guest hosts are joined by DX. Isn't DX getting enough air time as it is? It has become a dilemma for WWE if they are going to have Raw's top faces turn on each other before the triple threat match. DX playing buddy-buddy with each other until the final Raw before Survivor Series is not going to entice viewers to buy the pay-per-view. Finally, why are there two elimination matches (excluding the women's match)? One team consists of the rejects from Smackdown who lost the Bragging Rights qualifier. Instead of keeping the new ones off the PPV, they are put into a meaningless match with no significant history of feuds between any of them.

Justin Shook of Columbia, S.C., USC student (8.5): Best Match: R-Truth vs. C.M. Punk. Worst Match: Matt Hardy vs. Batista. A very fun show this week from the blue team. The Undertaker promo was well-executed. Chris Jericho is so good in his promo delivery, ring work, drawing heat - he's the best in the business right now. I get that Big Show is in the title match at the PPV because the theme seems to be tension between tag teams, but Jericho vs. Undertaker just has such a great feeling to it. I hate watching C.M. Punk get buried now as he's one of my favorite guys to watch and was the most enjoyable champion since Edge had his epic run(s). Either way, Punk vs. R-Truth was a fun match with R-Truth picking up a huge win, at least in my book. Rey and Batista both gave decent promos considering they are two of my least favorite talkers in all of pro wrestling. That said, Batista is just not fun to watch in the ring. He is slow, cumbersome, and looks sloppy in the ring. This match just didn't work. Rey vs. Mike Knox was my sleeper match of the night. I didn't think much of it before, but during the match I found myself getting very involved. Overall, good show, good PPV hype, good logical story progression, and good matches. Raw needs to take note because this is how you put on a great show.
Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (6.0): Best: Undertaker-Jericho promo. Worst: Punk-Armstrong feud. While Smackdown was a decent show for the entertained brain, it's not hard for the picky brain to see it was a "lather rinse repeat" episode. Ziggler-Morrison and Cryme Tyme-Hart Dynasty went at it again. While the matches have been good, how many more go-rounds are there before familiarity breeds contempt? Beth squashes another jobber. How long is she staying in this holding pattern? Could the Smackdown Survivor Series match be telling us just where Mickie James and Beth Phoenix will be fitting in on the Blue Brand? What happened to Drew McIntyre working with Finlay? Drew McIntyre goes back to assaulting his opponent before the match officially begins, and this time it's someone lower on the totem pole than Truth or Finlay. I can't see the Punk-Armstrong feud going anywhere constructive. He might have been a wrestler in the past, but Armstrong's role is ref right now. Punk should be feuding with another wrestler. Uh, Armstrong isn't coming out of retirement, is he? Hardy is working well as the catalyst to move along with the Rey-Batista story. But where was Rey to save Matt when Batista went postal? Sends a not-so-nice message about a top babyface.
