In Brief: In 2005 WWE and Jakks capitalized on the Edge-Lita-Hardy love triangle with a special action figure three-pack.

Action Figure Spotlight: Edge, Lita, and Matt Hardy 2005 Jakks Pacific Treacherous Trios Series 3

Few stories have ever been as hot as the Edge-Lita-Matt Hardy saga from 10 years ago. That love triangle combined all the intrigue of an insider wrestling story with the salaciousness of a celebrity gossip rag scandal. Fans clearly sided with Hardy at the time, but the whole chain of events actually propelled Edge to main event status and breathed new life into Lita as a heel.

Jakks Pacific and Mattel have made plenty of figures of Edge and Hardy over the years, but the three have only ever been included in one set together. (Note: Jakks also made several figures of Lita, but Mattel has not produced one or announced any plans to do so.) In late 2005, Jakks included a three-pack of Edge, Lita, and Hardy in the third wave of its Treacherous Trios line.

The Treacherous Trios pack has Edge in blue jeans and Hardy in his traditional baggy pants, very similar to other figures of both men. The Lita figure is more unique, though, and is one of only a few that capture her heel look. The Lita figure has a black top and baggy purple pants, with black shorts underneath.

The three-pack originally retailed for about $25 and is pretty easy to find online today on sites like eBay and Amazon. However, if you’re looking for one of these sets, shop around. Sellers regularly list this set for anywhere from $80 to $100, but they typically only sell for around $50. If you’re looking to pick one up, be patient until you find one for a reasonable price.

Top Sellers from Chrome, Americana

The May 16 PWTorch Collectibles Column provided an in-depth look at two new wrestling-related trading card releases: 2015 Topps WWE Chrome and 2015 Panini Americana. The first week of sales of single cards on the secondary market provides a glimpse of the cards that collectors are most interested in.

The hottest cards from 2015 Topps WWE Chrome have been NXT autographs of Charlotte and Alexa Bliss. Charlotte’s signature has sold in the $70-150 range, while Alexa’s can be found for $50-80. Hulk Hogan’s autographs tend to sell in the $70-100 range, while Roman Reigns’s autographs are solidly selling in the $40-80 range.

Panini’s latest Americana product offers more affordable signatures of wrestling stars like the Chris Jericho, Eva Marie, and the Hogans (Hulk and Brooke). Jericho’s autograph can be found for $15-25, while Brooke’s can usually be found for $10-15.

Hulk and Eva Marie are both found in Topps WWE Chrome and Panini Americana. As previously mentioned, Hogan’s Chrome autograph usually sells in the $70-100 range, but his Americana autograph is more affordable at $30-45. Likewise, Eva Marie’s Chrome auto usually sells for $40-50, while her Ameriana signature can be found for $15-20.
