In Brief: Who’s the bigger star with collectors: Natalya or Tyson Kidd?

Action Figure Spotlight #56: Tyson Kidd and Natalya

Tyson Kidd and Natalya have been one of WWE’s best mid-card acts of 2014, from Total Divas to NXT to Raw. But the now husband and wife couple made their action figure debut together back in 2009.

Back then, Mr. and Mrs. Kidd were two newcomers to WWE as part of the Hart Trilogy, later renamed the Hart Dynasty. Jakks Pacific was wrapping up its WWE line when the company included figures of Tyson and Natalya in its Adrenaline 39 wave of two-packs. The Tyson and Natalya figures sport matching pink and black outfits: Natalya with pink pants and top, Tyson with pink trunks and a black vest.

This two-pack can be somewhat tough to find, but isn’t especially expensive. A mint-on-card two-pack of Tyson Kidd and Natalya usually sells in the $40-50 range. Loose figures sell for about $15 each individually.

Mattel has yet to release a Kidd/Natalya two-pack, but the company has made plenty of individual figures of both. When it comes to the couple’s Mattel figures, Kidd is definitely the bigger star with collectors.

Kidd’s most valuable figure is a Mattel WWE Elite Series 7, which has him in black trunks and a removable Hart Dynasty t-shirt. Packaged figures often sell in the $50-75 range, with loose figures (with t-shirt) selling for only slightly less. Mattel has also made a few basic figures of Kidd, including two Hart Dynasty two-packs that have become very popular with collectors.

Mattel has made three basic Natalya figures to date. Her most popular figure is a basic Series 9, which has her in white wrestling gear with pink and black highlights. Mint-on-card figures usually sell in the $30-40 range, with loose figures selling in the $15-20 range.

Natalya is also included in basic Series 42, which you should be able to find at your local Kmart or Walmart for $9.99 or less. This figure has Natalya in black pants with pink trim, with a black and pink top.
Natalya, unlike Kidd, does not have an Elite figure. In fact, she may be the longest tenured wrestler on the WWE roster not to have an Elite figure.

ROH & NJPW Autographs

If you’ve got 20 bucks to spend, which would you rather have: a signed picture of The Vaudevillains, or signed photos from A.J. Styles and ROH tag champions ReDragon?

WWE and Ring of Honor are both selling new autographed 8x10 photos. WWE’s prices are higher, but ROH’s quality of talent is considerably better.

Autographed photos from WWEShop.com are $19.99 each, and primarily consist of NXT talent. This includes Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Charlotte, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, the Funkadactyls, The Vaudevillains, Enzo and Cassidy, the Lucha Dragons, The Ascension, and Emma.

By comparison, autographed photos from ROHWrestling.com are $9.99 each, and include top stars from both ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling, including Okada, A.J. Styles, ReDragon, the Young Bucks, Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian, KUSHIDA, A.C.H., Adam Cole, Maria Kanellis, the Briscoes, and more.

If you have purchased autographs from either site and have thoughts or opinions you would like to share with other PWTorch readers, send your comments to michaelmoorewriter@gmail.com.
