In Brief: Rebel may be new to a lot of wrestling fans, but she’s been appearing on trading cards for a lot longer than most TNA wrestlers.

Card Show #25: Rebel and Knux

A model and former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Rebel – a/k/a Tanea Brooks – made her trading card debut in the 2004 Bench Warmer Series 2 Set. Bench Warmer is a company that produces trading cards of models.

Several wrestling personalities have been included in Bench Warmer products, including Maria Kanellis, Christy Hemme, Torrie Wilson, Traci Brooks, and Kimberly Page, among others. Maria spoke with the Torch about her experiences with Bench Warmer in an exclusive interview last year.

The 2004 Bench Warmer Series 2 set included Rebel’s first autograph and kiss cards. She has appeared on several more Bench Warmer cards since then, most recently in the 2013 Vegas Baby set.




Most of Rebel’s cards are very affordable, with many autographs selling for about $5 and kiss cards selling in the $10-20 range. Low-numbered parallels sometimes fetch a lot more.
One of Rebel’s most popular cards is her 2010 Bench Warmer Anaheim Comic Con Exclusive. The signed card features Rebel dressed as a Lara Craft-style adventurer, and usually sells for $10-15.

Rebel’s on-screen partner Knux (what exactly is their relationship, anyway?) appeared on a few WWE trading cards from Topps in the mid-2000s, but it wasn’t until last year that his first certified autograph was made available to collectors. Knux’s signature appears in the 2013 TRISTAR TNA Glory set, which is the last TNA trading card product released to date.




The card features Knux as a member of Aces and Eights, and he even inscribed each signature with “aces & 8’s.” The card usually sells in the $8-12 range.

Knux also appears on a triple autograph with former Aces and Eights co-horts Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco. Despite being a triple autograph, that card usually only sells for around $2-$3 because, well, who wants an autograph of this trio?
