In Brief: Wrestling collectors are buying up just about anything with the Ultimate Warrior’s likeness, and eBay sellers are throwing them online for sale as fast as they can.

As of Friday night, April 18, nearly 5,000 Ultimate Warrior items had sold on eBay over the last 90 days. The vast majority of those have sold since Warrior’s stunning death on April 8.

You can find just about anything with Warrior’s likeness on it for sale on eBay right now – trading cards, action figures, magazines, posters, t-shirts, plush toys, jackets, banners, cups, and more. The April 15 PWTorch Collectibles Column focused on Warrior’s autographed trading cards. Here’s a look at just a few items that have sold over the last few days.

The most valuable Warrior collectibles that have sold on eBay have been ring-worn items with a COA and, in some cases, a hand-written letter from Warrior. Like Randy Savage, Warrior emptied out his closets in the early 2000s, offering collectors a chance to buy custom toys, autographs, and ring-worn items. A signed ring-worn singlet recently sold for $1,125, while an autographed pair of trunks sold for $1,000. One of the Warrior’s famous tassels – along with a signed, hand-written COA from Warrior himself – sold for $699.99.

Warrior’s autographs have been hot sellers as well, especially those that come with a COA from a reputable company. Signed magazines and photos have been selling anywhere from $100-300. Signed action figures, especially those from Jakks-Pacific, have sold anywhere from $150-300.

Warrior’s first action figure was released by LJN in the WWF Wrestling Superstars line in 1989, and is one of the most popular and valuable wrestling toys of all time. Finding a packaged figure is nearly impossible, but a handful of loose figures pop up at any given time. Since Warrior’s death, loose LJN figures in decent shape have been selling in the $140-$200 range.

Since that first figure, Hasbro, Jakks and Mattel have sold dozens of different Warrior figures. Many of Warrior’s Jakks Classic WWE Superstars line from the mid-2000s have been selling in the $35-50 range. His Mattel figures have also been very popular, with a Basic WrestleMania Heritage toy from 2012 fetching $50-60 and a WWE Legends Series 6 figure selling regularly for around $75. Mattel recently included Warrior in its Elite Series 26 wave, which just began popping up on retail store shelves in many parts of the country right around WrestleMania weekend.

In the late-‘80s and early-‘90s, a merchandise catalogue was stuffed inside some issues of WWF Magazine, and there were plenty of Warrior items. Posters, banners, dolls, hats, shirts, and masks were often seen in the crowd on WWF Superstars of wrestling, and many of those have become very iconic collectibles.

One of the most popular Warrior items from that era is a blue and white satin jacket that features a full color photo of Warrior on the back. Over the last few days, these jackets have sold on eBay for anywhere from $90 to $300. A classic black and white cloth banner of the Ultimate Warrior was often seemed draped over the ringside barrier, and remains one of his most popular collectibles to date. These have been selling in the $70-100 range.
