11/28 WWE NXT Episode Evaluation

- Daniel Bryan opened the show alongside Kane. Fun shenanigans as per with the tag team champions. Whadda pair. The highlight was Daniel Bryan screaming NOOOOO for a solid 10 seconds while jogging on the spot.

- The opening bout was between a bandaged Trent Barreta (as of last week's attack) and Leo Kruger. Kruger drew zero heat again, which someone must be noticing backstage by now. He attempted to garner some reaction by removing Trent's bandages but again there was total silence. Not even the tumbleweed showed up. After some dull offense, Kruger picked up the win. The hunter gimmick sucks and I'm not sure he'll be around much longer. Harsh but true.

- Out next was Xavier Woods (formerly Consequence Creed) to take on Memo Montenegro (Del Rio the younger) in a battle of the brackets. Woods's gimmick is a '70s funk dancer; fun but maybe a tad xenophobic. He plays it well, though. As for Memo, I'm not quite sure what to think as of yet as he is a very odd shape. He's a tall guy, but not quite a big man. I don't know how or where to place him. The match was a decent squash all in all.

- Audrey Marie was out next to face Australian diva Emma. Audrey is billed much like Mickie James as a good old country girl, although she wrestles as a heel. That's fine with me by all accounts as a set up to a feud with Paige. Good stuff. The curse of green commentators was ripe once again with the new voice of Tom Phillips butchering calling the match. Truly dreadful, and he clearly knew very little about wrestling. Somewhat baffling that such a guy gets a job in WWE. Anyways, Audrey won and the Divas roster grew a tadge.

- Seth Rollins and Jinder Mahal had a face-to-face mediated by Michael 'Look at my range of facial expressions' Cole. Jinder was copy and paste as per usual to draw little to no heat while Rollins played up to his already decent following. The conclusion was a Camel Clutch to Seth Rollins to add a potential injury angle to the title match. Generic but decent build to the main event in two weeks.

- Main event up next with Johnny Curtis (not Fandango) and 'Mr. Intensity' Michael McGillicutty in a match for the tag team champions against Team Hell No. Curtis gyrated his way down to the ring, perhaps giving insight into his new character. It was fairly good fun to be honest and provided he invests fully in it, he will make it a success.

The pre-match banter was brilliant fun between Bryan and Kane and the crowd was as hot as a McDonald's apple pie. This carried into the match to give the match a great backdrop. It was a back and forth affair which eventually ended with McGillicutty tapping to the No Lock. The champions were very much presented as the big fish in this match, which made it somewhat less competitive than I would have liked but apart from that it was light-hearted fun. Hell No hugged it out at the end of the match for a satisfying conclusion to a generally feel good show.

That'll about do it for me folks. As I say every week send me tweets and thoughts to @PWChiverton and I'll be sure to write you back. See you soon, chap.
