SUPERSTARS HITS

Hardy vs. Smith: Superstars was back to the formula that has worked best for the show, three matches, two of which are two-segment. That formula generally gives better match quality, with less filler. That was certainly the case this week, starting with the good match between Matt Hardy and DH Smith. This wasn't a great match, and I would much rather see Hardy one on one against Tyson Kidd. However, I did like this match and Smith looked good. Hardy seems a bit more motivated the last few weeks, as he has actually gotten some wins for the first time in awhile. If Hardy can come up with a partner, a new feud for the Hart Dynasty could brew to get them away from Cryme Tyme which would be very good.

MVP vs. DiBiase: I also enjoyed the second two-segment match of the show, Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Ted DiBiase. I liked that WWE actually announced this match on Raw to get fans interested in watching it. I looked forward to seeing it since then and it didn't disappoint. Like the opening match, it wasn't great, but it was good. Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes at ring side added to the match without taking anything away or being distracting which can happen in these situations. It was nice to see MVP in a longer singles match than we've seen from him lately. He just hasn't had much of a push since coming to Raw. It was also nice to see DiBiase in a longer singles match. The only problem was the fact that this match ended in a small package just like the first.

SUPERSTARS MISSES

None: Once again, there wasn't anything to complain about for Superstars. I should emphasize that recent episodes might not have had any Misses either, but I didn't enjoy them as much as this one. In addition to the two good matches listed above, there was a solid match between Shelton Benjamin and Zack Ryder. I don't mind the Ask the Divas segments. I liked the Shaemus focus video. There wasn't a Raw Rebound which was nice.
