The news came unexpectedly - TNA had released Angelina Love, one of their most heavily-pushed and successful Knockouts. There was a story behind it though. Love was working in the U.S. illegally and was released until she could get the matter straightened out.

But this leaves her in an interesting position. She can now choose between returning to TNA and leaving for greener pastures in WWE. That is, assuming WWE has any interest in her. They'd be foolish not to, quite frankly, as she has the "Beautiful People" gimmick down to a tee and she could pretty much be the same character in WWE. They don't really have someone who espouses the values (or lack thereof) her character does. It shouldn't be difficult to find another Diva to be her Velvet Sky.

Her agent has made it sound like she will likely return to TNA, however. We know TNA would love to have her back, considering the success she has brought to the company, and vice-versa. Plus, she has already had the "WWE experience," as she was in their developmental territory several years ago.

The smart money is on Love returning to TNA once her visa issues get cleared up, but there are varying reports on how long it'll take and the severity of the punishment she faces, if any. It sounds like a certainty Angelina will return to TNA from all who have spoken on the subject, but it would be crazy to think she wouldn't at least test the waters to gauge WWE's interest. And if they're serious about promoting their women's division, she certainly had to have been high on the list of those in TNA that WWE would be interested in.
