Lucha Underground Report
February 18, 2015
Taped in Los Angeles, Calif.
Episode #15 aired on El Rey Network
Report by Joel Dehnel, PWTorch contributor

Announcers: Matt Striker and Vampiro.

The show opened in a cathedral where Big Ryck declared he would get vengeance. Various clips from the past weeks on Fenix, Dario, and Mil Muertes aired.

Opening credits rolled which brought us to The Temple to begin the show.

Announcers: Striker introduced the show. Vampiro said that Alberto El Patrón is here, but so is Texano. Also, Striker said Chavo Guerrero is looking to get revenge on Mil Muertes.

In-ring: Santos introduced Mil Muertes to the ring without Catrina. His opponent tonight is Chavo.

1 -- MIL MUERTES vs. CHAVO GUERRERO, JR.

Muertes overpowered Chavo and threw him into the corner, then to the floor. Chavo dove onto Muertes, but Muertes drove him into the corner, then tossed him back in the ring. Chavo collected himself then hit a cross-body to the outside. Chavo dropkicked Muertes and started to work on his leg. He threw Muertes leg-first into the post, then threw him to the outside.

The camera showed Catrina walking down the aisle towards the ring. Muertes drove Chavo into the corner and followed it up with a right hand and a clothesline. Muertes tossed Chavo over the top rope, then gazed at Catrina. Chavo grabbed a chair from under the ring and struck Muertes in the back for the disqualification.

WINNER: Mil Muertes via DQ at 5:35.

Post-match: Muertes struck Chavo, then hit the flatliner onto the chair. He pointed at Catrina then grabbed her by the hair and forced her onto Chavo. She backed away, but then Muertes grabbed her throat and went for a flatliner, but Fenix interrupted them and saved Catrina. Catrina kissed Fenix, then taunted Muertes.

Backstage: The mysterious woman unlocked a door, then walked up some stairs.

[Break]

Backstage: Dario was in his office with Castro, Cisco, and Bael. He recalled what they have done and said he wants to reward them with a main event match. He said they will need to prove themselves by taking out any one who gets in his way. So tonight they will face Sexy Star, Pimpenela Escarlata, and Mascarita Sagrada. Their only job is to hurt them so bad that they never come back.

In-ring: Ivelisse was in the ring with Son of Havoc. She said that tonight Son of Havoc was supposed to have his re-match with Angélico, but after weeks of losing, she believes it's better that she handles Havoc's battles for him. She called out Angélico because he's gonna fight the baddest b**** in the building.

2 -- IVELISSE (w/Son of Havoc) vs. ANGÉLICO

Ivelisse struck Angélico, then hit a drop toehold. He was very hesitant to fight her. Ivelisse kneed his lower section while Angélico countered all of her moves. Ivelisse ran to the top rope, then hit a huracanrana. Ivelisse kicked Angélico, but he threw her up in the air. Havoc kicked Angélico then Ivelisse got the pin victory.

WINNER: Ivelisse at 2:41.

Post-match: Angélico said if Ivelisse ever wants to go one-on-one with him without her boyfriend, it would be his pleasure.

Announcers: Striker plugged the in-ring debuts of Alberto El Patrón and Texano.

[Break]

In-ring: Santos introduced Super Fly already in the ring. He was set to face the debuting Texano. Striker threw to a video of an interview with Texano and Vampiro.

3 -- SUPER FLY vs. TEXANO

Fly knocked over Texano and both men went back and forth. Texano chopped Fly in the corner, then took a cross-body from Fly. Texano hit a leg drop for a two count. Texano then hit a neckbreaker for the pin.

WINNER: Texano at 1:31.

Post-match: Alberto made his way to the ring. Texano struck Alberto, but Alberto threw him into the barricade then back into the ring. Alberto grabbed Texano's bull rope and lashed Texano a few times. Security filled the ring to separate the two men. They cleared out and Alberto celebrated in the ring.

[Break]

Backstage: Dario was sitting in his office. He was interrupted by Cage, who told him that it's time to do what's right and crown him Lucha Underground champion. Dario told him it wasn't that simple. Cage replied by telling him that it is that simple because he's taken out Prince Puma twice and beaten Johnny Mundo. Dario said that Cage is everything he wants in a champion, but he technically lost. As a consolation next week Cage will face Puma in a non-title match and if he wins he'll be number one contender. Cage accepted the challenge, but told Dario to bring a new belt...

Cage walked out and Chavo walked in. Chavo said he's had enough and he quits. Dario said he wishes Chavo the best in his future endeavors, but the doors at his temple will always be open. Chavo looked back in anger. Dario said to himself that the gods will not be pleased with this...

The mysterious woman budged through a door and found a cage. She said that this is the place where he keeps you. She said the only thing she ever wanted to be when grew up was to be the one to kill you with her bare hands. A bag was then thrown over her head and the scene ended.

[Break]

In-ring: Santos introduced The Crew already in the ring. Next out were their opponents.

4 -- THE CREW (MR. CISCO & CORTEZ CASTRO & BAEL) vs. SEXY STAR & PIMPINELA ESCARLATA & MASCARITA SAGRADA -- No Disqualification Trios match

Everyone brawled in the ring. Pimp fought Cortez, then Cortez grabbed a kendo stick and popped Pimpinela. Mr. Cisco entered the ring and began to beat down Mascarita. Mascarita kicked Cisco and flipped him out of the ring then hit a suicide dive. Cisco dropped him on the ring apron.

Star fought Cortez in the ring and got knocked down by Cisco. During the action, Pimpinela was carried to the back for an injury. The Crew began to beat down Mascarita and stomped his head into a chair. Star was the last one left.

Star took out all of The Crew, then hit a DDT to Bael on the outside. Castro tried to knock out Star, but Star went for a neckbreaker, but Cicso grabbed her and slammed her to the mat, Cisco went to the top, but Star stopped him and hit a huracanrana and got a two count. The Crew beat down Star, then noticed Ryck walking down to the ring. Star got a roll-up for the win.

WINNER: Sexy Star at 7:45.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Alberto is a complete star in this environment. I can't wait until he has his first match and really gets his feud going with Texano. Alberto has so much charisma and talent that it's such a shame he wasn't represented this way in WWE. It just makes you really question why WWE is so awful at presenting talent in meaningful ways when they have ready to be stars right in front of their faces... I'm also intrigued with the mysterious woman and what is in the cage. I'm not sure where it is going, if it will lead to a match or if it has anything to do with wrestling at all. but I'm sure curious to find out what happens next.

SUMMARY RESULTS: (1) Mil Muertes beat Chavo via DQ... (2) Ivelisse rolled up Angélico... (3) Texano pinned Super Fly... (4) Sexy Star defeated The Crew after a distraction from Ryck.
