James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (7.0)

A solid episode of Superstars with two good TV matches and one, well, not good match featuring Kozlov. The opening match with The Miz and Santino was a nice balance of comedy and credible heel work from Miz to build up Santino's failed comebacks that engage the crowd in the action. A fine piece of entertainment. Santino isn't going to be main-eventing any future TV shows, so he's fine in a bit role just doing his undercard comedy. If they ever want to take him to the next level, the door is open, but he's doing just fine in his current role.

The main event of R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler was your typically-booked even-steven affair with Truth being in favor of management this month. Put this in September or October and Ziggler wins the match. It's so difficult to elevate anyone when the up-and-down booking waters down wrestlers. It's like one wrestler climbing one step, then he's climbed over by another wrestler to the same step, but no one is elevated in the process. We'll see if Truth as the flavor of the month right now translates into anything worthwhile over time.

As for Kozlov vs. Goldust, yikes. Goldust worked around Kozlov as much as possible, but it wasn't good from the ECW brand. Kozlov is better in very short does.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

Last week's Superstars was bad. This week's was pretty good. It followed the typical formula like last week, but was entertaining unlike last week. I enjoyed Santino Marella vs. The Miz. The match had a good balance between Santino's comedy and crowd pleasing offense, and Miz's dominating offense and strong win. It worked well and was fun to watch. I also enjoyed the main event, Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth. Truth is getting a big push right now in a feud against CM Punk, so it made perfect sense for him to get the win. The announcers did a good job in analyzing why Ziggler hasn't been able to get the big win. The match itself had good high energy action. Both wrestler teased their finishers. I particularly liked how Truth missed the Lie Detector early, only to hit it again later for the win.

There wasn't anything to really dislike about this episode. There were segments that weren't good, but none of them were bad like Ask the Divas, Goldust vs. Vladimir Kozlov or the John Cena profile. I do get tired of the Raw Rebound, but this week's Raw was pretty huge in terms of pushing Sheamus into the main event that I didn't mind it as much as usual.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

Ziggler vs. Truth in the main event was a solid one-on-one match. Hard to believe WWE has seemingly given up for the time being on Ziggler. Truth's push is just as mystifying as Ziggler's non-push, since Truth was originally pushed hard upon his return, then it was pulled back because of his wrestling style, now they're pushing him even though nothing has really changed. I like Truth, but I also like Ziggler and I'm not sure why they changed places like this.

Goldust vs. Kozlov was a nothing match that meant nothing in the grand scheme of ECW. The Miz vs. Santino was fine for a comedy match, but not much else. I'd like to see Santino not completely lose the comedic aspect of his character, but at least wrestle a little more seriously. I think he's got talent enough to be more than just a curtain-jerker.
