James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (8.0)

Solid, solid show this week. Probably one of the best episodes of Superstars thus far with three compelling match-ups and about 25 minutes of total wrestling with 42 minutes of TV time available in the hour timeslot. Three compelling matches and not too heavy on video packages or repeat hype made this quite the good show.

All three matches were physical, hard-hitting matches with some good star power mixed into the show. The main event of John Cena vs. Ted DiBiase was a good showcase for DiBiase, who could be in Cena's top slot in a few years. Cena brought the star power and picked up the win, but DiBiase kept viewers interested in the action as he worked over Cena. WWE might present him as a Randy Orton clone, but he has subtle differences in how he wrestles that - dare I say - makes him more interesting to watch than Orton, who is prone to a chinlock too many.

Jack Swagger also had a good match against Finlay. He was impressive with a couple of power moves including the powerslam off the turnbuckle to the mat, then the gut wrench powerbomb from a near stand-still position with Finlay not appearing to give him much lift for the finishing move.

The opening Smackdown match had a nice mix of athleticism from Carlito & Primo and power offense from Haas & Benjamin. Cryme Tyme's "involvement" was a bit much, but WWE obviously wanted to get them on TV in some form or fashion. Meanwhile, Carlito's moonsault into the backstabber was sweet.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

This was a solid to good episode of Superstars. It wasn't nearly as good as last week's though. The wrestling action was quite good. Haas & Benjamin vs. Primo & Carlito was a fine 14 minute tag match. I was thoroughly enjoying the match until Cryme Tyme showed up. Not only did they distract Haas & Benjamin, but they distracted me too, and they hurt the quality of the match. They haven't really had an issue with Haas & Benjamin, so to show up and randomly cost them the match seemed more like a heel move than a babyface one. But, the match was still good.

I also liked how Jack Swagger got the strong win over Finlay. The match was short, but that worked well in this case to give Swagger that decisive win as he has to be kept strong going into Extreme Rules. Cena vs. DiBiase was a good match. Ted DiBiase looked like he belonged in the ring with a star of the stature of John Cena. My only problem is that WWE should have made a bigger deal about Cena's first appearance on Superstars, but that is more about not hyping the even on Raw. My biggest problem with the show, the reason my score was low despite three good matches, was the stupid replay of the stupid Denver Debacle. Making me sit through that garbage again brought my score down at least a full point.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.5)

I'm a fan of tag teams, so WWE must've thrown me a bone putting on The Colons vs. Haas & Benjamin. I would point to that exciting, compelling, athletic match-up to show WWE "THAT'S why you should invest in a tag division." Getting Cryme Tyme involved adds an angle to the show that we haven't seen a lot of thus far in its presentation.

Finlay vs. Jack Swagger was a little shorter than I expected, but it was a good contest nonetheless. Swagger doesn't seem to have the same chemistry with Finlay that he does with someone like Christian (save for their Judgment Day clunker). The main event was fine, nothing more and nothing less. Legacy continues to be thrown to the wolves.
