TNA Impact News & Notes 4/3

- Kurt Angle retained the TNA World Title over Bobby Lashley in the main event. This was a re-match from Lashley losing the title to Angle two weeks ago on Impact.

TNA tried to create a "controversial finish" centered on referee Brian Hebner scripted to be out of position. Hebner missed Lashley rolling his shoulder up from the mat well before a three count; Hebner ended up counting the pin while looking at the wrestlers's feet. Impact went off the air with Lashley having a gripe about the match outcome.

Hebner also factored into another match outcome. Hebner was out of position during the Bobby Roode vs. Eric Young submission match, leading to a ref bump. Roode then submitted Young for a visual fall. Roode released the hold to check on Hebner, then Young put Roode in a figure-four leglock targeting a knee injury, prompting Roode to submit, giving Young the win.

- The Wolves relinquished the TNA Tag Titles due to what TNA presented as a foot injury to Eddie Edwards. Instead of finding a replacement partner, Davey Richards said they will simply go after the next tag team to hold the titles when Eddie returns to action.

- James Storm's Revolution faction was part of a bit with the cast from a ghost show on Destination America. The cast was charged with trying to find ghosts in Storm's old barn, where he initially tortured Sanada and brainwashed him to join his faction.

- Storm, as well as Mickie James, factored into a brawl between Bram and Magnus, who won the match against his former friend. Storm is now trying to recruit Magnus to his group.

- Match Results: (1) Eric Young beat Bobby Roode in a submission match. ... (2) Gail Kim beat Angelina Love. ... (3) Magnus beat Bram in a No DQ match. ... (4) TNA World Hvt. champion Kurt Angle beat Bobby Lashley to retain the TNA World Title.

- Social Media: Impact cracked Nielsen's Twitter TV Ratings for the first time on Friday nights. Impact ranked #5 among series & specials with a unique Twitter audience of 133,000 and total impressions of 582,000.
