After a controversial departure from Ring of Honor this summer, Kenny King disappeared from TNA television during the build-up to Bound for Glory. However, TNA stars Austin Aries and Christopher Daniels said this week that they believe King will be featured again when TNA spotlights the X Division following the BFG PPV.

"You take someone like myself out of the X Division, and that was a big hole that had to be filled," Aries said on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show this week. "You see Zema Ion stepped up, and Sonjay Dutt, who has had some issues with his shoulder, but has come back from that. You saw Kenny King make his debut, and I think we will be seeing him again. There's an influx. There are guys coming in and making some impressions. We will see what happens there."

With the X Division taking a back-seat as of late (exemplified by two minutes of TV time on Thursday's BFG PPV lead-in episode), King has not appeared on Impact in two months dating back to August when he was in the X Division Title match at Hardcore Justice.

Former X Division star/current TNA tag champion Christopher Daniels says he thinks King will be a top guy in the division going forward, along with current champion Zema Ion and recent #1 contender Sonjay Dutt.

"I think Kenny King is going to be somebody to see once the focus is back on the X Division. I feel like Kenny deserves the spotlight," Daniels told Comcast in an interview promoting the BFG PPV. "I think Sonjay Dutt is finally going to get an opportunity to shine once he gets back from his shoulder injury. And he’s someone who has a lot of character, he just hasn’t been able to show it. And then Zema (Ion), of course. He’s a great character, he’s a great athlete. He’s very young, but he has a lot of experience. It’s a matter of giving him an opportunity to show that side of him."

Daniels also talked more about what King brings to the table in an interview with the Baltimore Sun promoting Bound for Glory.

"I feel like Kenny King is someone that, once he gets into our mix full time, I think he’s going to turn some heads," Daniels said. "He’s someone that I’ve known from my days in Ring of Honor, where I was very impressed with him there. I think that once he gets the opportunity to show the type of athlete, the type of character that he is, that he’s going to connect with the audience very quickly and I think it’s just a matter of time before he shows everyone what he’s all about."
