-- One week before returning to the main event of TNA's Bound for Glory PPV, Jeff Hardy reflected on the disastrous Victory Road PPV main event in March 2011 in an interview with Brian Fritz on BetweentheRopes.com .
Hardy noted at the time that he was stressed about his legal situation and he "went crazy during all that." He said the darkest moment during that period was the PPV main event when his drug addiction "finally caught up with me."
"I was out of my mind to even perform against one of the guys I looked up to as a kid, you know, Sting. That was probably rock bottom," Hardy said. "That allowed me to go home and take care of everything I needed to take care of and get better and pretty much start over. I have a second chance, one more shot and luckily I got that and have improved ever since and have been on a steady incline."
Asked if he knew during that moment if he messed up, Hardy said, "I totally knew I messed up. And, driving home that next day, I knew I had messed up for the last time. That's what I knew that day. It took a while, about six months, and I came back."
Also in the interview, Hardy discussed wrestling smarter and taking better care of himself. The full interview can be heard at BetweentheRopes.com , on iTunes , or in the audio player above.
-- TNA has opened up more seating for the Bound for Glory PPV in Phoenix next Sunday. As part of TNA going for a unique arena set-up for the PPV, the new seats will be on-stage for a "one-of-a-kind viewpoint."
Details released in an announcement Friday: "For the first time in TNA's history, fans will have a chance to be part of the 'Bound for Glory' stage. Two new sections have been created adjacent to the entrance ramps which will give fans a unique vantage point and experience, as well as make them part of each talent entrance. Ticketing for entrance stage seating is available at just $35."
