As of this afternoon, our sources are telling us that Dave Lagana is working at the TNA Against All Odds PPV tonight in the capacity of helping with pre-taped segments only. It is said to be premature or inaccurate to say he has received as promotion and is replacing Vince Russo.

That said, changes are definitely in the works. Russo's absence tonight and Lagana's presence have definitely accelerated rumors of pending changes.

Russo may or may not be completely out of TNA, but something is going on regarding his status in or role with the company. No official announcement has been made to staff or wrestlers regarding changes in the creative structure in Orlando today.

The lackluster ratings for the TNA Impact wrestling shows in London, England may have been the final straw for some changes to be made within creative.

Lagana was a long-term WWE Creative Team member in WWE in the 2000s, including roles as head writer of ECW and Smackdown. He worked more recently as a producer for Ring of Honor.

He was hired by TNA late last year and was involved in the Ring Ka King spinoff promotion in India that TNA is operating. Because of his experience, many people within TNA felt it was inevitable that he'd be first in line to replace Russo if Dixie Carter lost confidence in Russo's contributions to TNA's creative system.

Bruce Prichard was recently promoted to Head of Creative, so presumably he'd be involved in the decision to make changes to Russo's role within TNA Creative and to add to Lagana's duties.

Again, two top level sources within TNA say there is no firm news to report in this regard, and no announcement has been made to talent or staff.

Russo, though, not being at the PPV tonight is said to be related to a potential shake-up, and Lagana's presence helping with pre-tapes is a sign that he would be in line to at least fill the gap left by Russo if he were to leave, as Russo helped with pre-taping segments for TV.
