Thursday night's TNA Impact on July 22 scored a 1.06 rating off a first hour 1.06 rating and a second hour 1.07 rating.

Impact opened with the lowest quarter-hour rating of the show, then steadily built to a 1.11 rating in quarter-hours three through five.

The second hour peaked in the first 15 minutes of the hour with a 1.11 rating in Q5. The show dropped off to below-average quarter-hours in Q6 and Q7 before increasing to an above-average final quarter-hour.

The final segment of the show, featuring the ECW follow-up and Dixie Carter's "promo" with Tommy Dreamer, scored a 1.09 rating, which was below the 1.11 in the fifth quarter-hour.

The following is a quarter-by-quarter break down of which segments drew and which segments didn't draw during the show.

First Hour

Impact opened with a 0.97 quarter-hour rating for the un-hyped Global Title match between A.J. Styles and Rob Terry. Also worth considering is the first quarter-hour of Impact has not scored well recently. There's a pattern of viewers being slow to tune into the show.

The show increased to a 1.03 quarter-hour rating in Q2, with the "TV ratings draw" Beautiful People involved in the segment. The quarter-hour scored below-average, but was part of a steady increase to the 1.11 peak rating.

In Q3, the show increased again to a 1.11 rating for Kurt Angle vs. Hernandez and Kevin Nash's promo exchange with Jeff Jarrett. Despite Nash and Jarrett making little sense in their promos, it's two consecutive weeks their segment has scored well.

Impact maintained the same quarter-hour rating in Q4 with the end of Nash and Jarrett's promo, then the first-half of Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy.

Second Hour

Joe vs. Hardy continued into Q5, which scored another 1.11 rating. The weekly "PPV-quality giveaway" match scored fairly well, but could have meant more with proper hype, build-up, and anticipation to draw a stronger rating.

The sixth quarter-hour then dropped to a 1.04 rating for the un-hyped Matt Morgan vs. Mr. Anderson match and the first-half of the Beer Money vs. Motor City Machineguns match.

Impact scored the same rating in Q7 for the end of Beer Money vs. the Guns, then non-wrestling segments, including an interview with TNA World Hvt. champion Rob Van Dam.

The final quarter-hour scored a 1.09 rating for Dixie Carter's speech explaining the ECW invite. The segment increased from the ratings in Q6 and Q7, but was below the 1.11 quarter-hour rating for the end of Joe vs. Hardy in Q5.
