TNA News: Quick pocket guide summary of what happened at TNA's Final Resolution PPV Dec 8, 2008 - 3:06:22 AM
For the Torch reader on the go, here's a quick summary of the key events, notes, and results from each of the matches from Sunday's TNA Final Resolution PPV.
- Main Event: Frontline vs. Main Event Mafia. Sting retained the World Hvt. Title when he pinned Samoa Joe following a low-blow by Kevin Nash. A.J. Styles could have won the TNA Title if his team scored the victory. Sting then teased being upset with the Mafia for his victory coming via cheap tactics.
- Kurt Angle pinned Rhino with Mick Foley counting the pin. Al Snow showed debuted to distract Foley, allowing Angle to chair shot Rhino and score the pin with the referee down and Foley forced to make the count. Angle now gets his match against Jeff Jarrett at the January PPV.
- Beer Money retained the TNA Tag Titles over Abyss & Matt Morgan following a brass knucks shot from James Storm on Abyss.
- Awesome Kong retained the Knockouts Title when Raisha Saeed interfered against Christy Hemme, who won by DQ.
- Eric Young won the X Division Title with help from referee Shane Sewell, but the decision was later reversed (for a second time in a month) during the PPV and the belt was declared vacant. TNA will announce the status of the title on Impact.
- ODB & Roxxi & Taylor Wilde beat the Beautiful People & Sharmell. ODB did not get her hands on Sharmell. Beautiful People did not earn the right to call Booker T's plush locker room their new home.
- Feast or Fired: Homicide, Hernandez, Curry Man, and Jay Lethal won briefcases. Lethal took his from Shelley and Sabin, who opted to celebrate rather than go to the floor to declare possession of a case. Lethal's case was opened to reveal a TNA Tag Title shot. The other three cases will be revealed on Impact.
- Other Notes: The "Suicide" character from the TNA Impact video game debuted to take out Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, who were trying to hold the show hostage until Mick Foley reversed the decision of the Feast or Fired match.
