TNA Against All Odds HOLT Report: What happened at the arena that PPV viewers didn't see Feb 11, 2008 - 2:03:26 AM
PWTorch.com reader Dan Lark sent the following notes from attending Against All Odds in person last night in South Carolina...
As expected it has highly papered, but attendance was around 3,500 according to the box office.
DARK MATCHES
(1) Curry Man defeated Two local DJs
(2) Sonjay Dutt & Consequences Creed beat The Rock & Rave Infection (w/o Christy Hemme - must not have been the plane ticket) when Creed pinned Rave. Lots of heat and Creed got a really good pop as he's local.
The crowd was really pissed off about the Commission not allowing the Mesias/Abyss match to take place. Whenever the Commission was mentioned there was tremendous heat. Lots of VERY loud "bullsh--!" chants for the finish of the Roode vs. Booker T match. It cheapened Booker. Awesome Kong is way over and appears to be developing a following.
BIGGEST POPS:
1. Jay Lethal (who singlehandedly stole the the show)
2. Booker T.
3. Consequences Creed (local and somewhat expected)
4. Somoa Joe
5. Eric Young
MOST HEEL HEAT:
1. SC State Athletic Commission (no real surprise)
2. Angle
3. Robert Roode (and not in a good way, considering the match finish)
Surprisingly they didn't hype nor even mention the Aiken, S.C. house show.
