Manny Pacquiao went into Saturday's mega-boxing fight against WrestleMania celebrity Floyd Mayweather looking to be The One in 47-1.

However, Mayweather topped Pacquiao via unanimous decision in a 12-round fight Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Mayweather's victory in the biggest money fight of all-time pushed his professional boxing record to 48-0, setting the stage for what Mayweather says will be his final fight in September.

Saturday's fight was split through six of the 12 rounds, according to most expert scorecards. However, Mayweather kept his perfect record by sticking his gameplan of using a technically-sound defensive strategy to dominate the final six rounds of the fight.

It was a very cerebral, Triple H-like performance. It was not the most crowd-pleasing fight and Pacquiao was frustrated throughout, but Mayweather's methodical style has made him the richest athlete in professional sports.

Saturday's fight was also connected to Hunter via Michelle Beadle, the ESPN TV personality who has regularly appeared at WWE events and interviewed Brock Lesnar on SportsCenter prior to WrestleMania 31.

Beadle, who has been outspoken about Mayweather's documented history of domestic violence, was not credentialed for the event and called out Hunter afterward.

"I've loved @WWE for a long time. But @TripleH and his love for a serial abuser is too much. I'm turning in my fan card. #WasFunWhileItLasted," Beadle tweeted.

As for Mayweather's future, he says there is one fight left, with the possibility of a nice, round 50-0 record looming if he takes two more fights.

A re-match against Pacquiao is unlikely, but it would be interesting with Pacquiao being able to come up with a Plan B to attack Mayweather's fortress-like strategy.

For PPV buyers, it was like a pre-Network version of WrestleMania - to the tenth degree - in terms of dealing with cable/satellite issues. Due to the high demand and customer service issues, many customers were late or unable to watch the PPV, prompting a delay in the fight starting.

Earlier in the week, WWE looked to capitalize on huge interest in the fight by airing a Network special on the Mayweather vs. Big Show match/fight from the WrestleMania 24 PPV seven years ago in Florida.

At the time, Mayweather was 39-0 and did not take a single boxing fight in 2008 - the year he appeared at WM24 against Show - due to a semi-retirement. Since coming out of "retirement," Mayweather has rattled off nine consecutive victories, with eight being 12-round unanimous decisions.
