-- January 9: Nigel McGuinness talked to the Pop Culture section of the Toledo Free Press about his vision for the "LA Fights" wrestling project, which is currently in the crowdsourcing funding stage.

“This is a six-episode TV series versus a 52-week-a-year live TV show. The in-ring style is as close to MMA as it is to pro wrestling, necessarily - it’s somewhere in between, appealing to both audiences," McGuinness told reporter Jeff McGinnis. "I started having ideas about five years ago when I was working for TNA. Just sort of talking to people in car rides over the years. And then, the last 18 months, I decided, you know, I’m just going to put all these ideas together; I’m going to figure it out myself. How can I make this? If someone had given me carte blanche, what’s the best possible show I could put out there?” [ LINK: Full Interview HERE ]
