-- Former WWE star-turned MMA fighter Dave Bautista was recently interviewed by XXL Magazine about his transition away from pro wrestling to movies and MMA. Bautista briefly touched on leaving WWE, but mainly focused on his starring role in the "Man with the Iron Fists" movie.
"When I left wrestling, I left wrestling because I was talking to Strikeforce (MMA) and I thought I was leaving wrestling to go right into Strikeforce," Bautista said. Batista then recalled one of the movie's producers deciding he would be good for a role. "He was looking for MMA fighters for The Man with the Iron Fists. He knew me from wrestling, but he didn’t know I was into martial arts, and he flipped out because there’s not many dudes who could play the character I played in the movie," Bautista said.
