Other News: Sean Waltman and Jerry Lawler scheduled for Wizard World Philly; Waltman vs. Jerry Lynn this weekend Jun 18, 2009 - 6:11:00 PM
-- Sean Waltman will be in the U.S. this weekend for an appearance at the Wizard World convention in Philadelphia on Saturday and an independent match against long-time rival Jerry Lynn in Minnesota on Friday.
Waltman, who wrestles in Mexico for the AAA promotion, is scheduled to be in the main event of the F1RST Wrestling show in Minneapolis, Minn. on Friday night against Lynn. The event will be at the First Ave. Nightclub.
Waltman and the former ROH champion Lynn made names for themselves in the Minneapolis area in the 1990s. F1RST is promoting the card around the return of the mainstream stars to Minneapolis. F1RST MySpace page with card details.
-- Waltman will then be in Philadelphia on Saturday for the Wizard World convention. He will be appearing between 12:00 and 7:00 p.m. for autograph signings. He's also scheduled to appear on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
WWE announcer Jerry Lawler and Michael Kingston, the creator of the "Headlocked" comic book series, are also scheduled to be at the Wizard World convention. Read Kingston's blog for more info.
Jerry Lynn will also be in Philadelphia on Saturday, but for the next set of ROH on HDNet TV tapings at the former ECW Arena. Lynn will be facing Tyler Black in a "special attraction match."
