Other News: Details on Ric Flair attending private screening of "The Wrestler," after-party with Mickey Rourke and Pamela Anderson Dec 20, 2008 - 9:11:18 PM
"The Wrestler's" leading actor Mickey Rourke personally invited former WWE spokesman Ric Flair to a recent private screening of the movie, which officially opened in New York and Los Angeles this weekend.
Jim Ross reported on jrsbarbq.com that Flair was impressed with the stunts Rourke pulled off in the movie and he reminded him of "one of the boys" from the territory era that Flair was a part of when he broke into wrestling.
After the screening, Rourke hosted a private party that attended by Flair, Pamela Anderson, 50 Cent, and Chris Rock. The party reportedly lasted until 5:00 a.m., which Ross said he's been part of with Flair before.
"I have experienced more than my share of 'concluded at 5 a.m.' nights with "The Naitch" which I, and my liver, somehow survived," Ross said on jrsbarbq.com. "Ric was in great spirits and has been staying really busy."
Ross added that Flair's sons, Reid and David, are expected to have more tag bouts in 2009 similar to the match they had in Charlotte earlier this match that Hulk Hogan was a part of.
"Ric is also working out weekly with his son Reid who is looking to establish a wrestling career ala his Dad which won't be easy to say the least," Ross said.
