Other News: Latest details on Ric Flair's reality show pilot; TV folks "overwhelmed" by Flair Nov 14, 2008 - 4:38:58 PM
Former WWE spokesman Ric Flair recently completed filming of the pilot episode for a new reality series starring himself and his son, Reid Flair, that he hopes to pitch to TV networks. Whether the series makes TV depends on how well executives can handle Flair's antics as an "eligible bachelor" on the show.
"He had just finished shooting a pilot for a reality show that producers are interested in and he said the TV people were a little overwhelmed with what they saw but in a good way," said Jim Ross on jrsbarbq.com. "It was probably just another, regular day/night with the 'Naitch' and friends."
Flair is currently going through a divorce while living on his own trying to be the Ric Flair character outside of the ring. Apparently it could make for good TV in a reality show form.
Said Ross: "Ric Flair, for some reason, reminds me of what I perceive Jack Nicholson to be like, a guy who loves his children but that would rather not be married or, perhaps I should suggest, shouldn't be married."
