WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES
Booker T defeated Jay Lethal in his debut in Jersey All Pro Wrestling on Saturday. Both men wrestled as faces, but Sharmell distracted the referee when Lethal had a pinning attempt. Also on the show, LAX won a tag match.
In FIP on Friday, the show headlined with a three-way elimination match of Jerry Lynn vs. Austin Aries vs. Roderick Strong, with Strong winning the match. Also on the show, Delirious and Scotty Too Hotty teamed up for some silliness hijinx in the main event. Saturday’s show featured Greg “the Hammer” Valentine defeating Norman Smiley. Results of both events are below.
In AAW, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley lost to the Minnesota duo of Darin Corbin & Ryan Cruz. With Jimmy Jacobs, Jerry Lynn, Austin Aries and Tyler Black in FIP for the weekend, this AAW show wasn’t as star-studded as most of their events.
Eugene Dinsmore and Tito Santana were in action for National Wrestling Superstars in N.J. on Saturday.
Jerry Lawler lost via DQ on Saturday in EWF in Marion, Ind. He used the banned piledriver to get disqualified. Lawler then gave the referee a piledriver, which sent the fans home happy.
In other news…
Ace Pro Wrestling in Montclair, N.J., has signed Rhino and Scotty Too Hotty for its show on June 21. Learn more at www.aceprowrestling.com.
Sabu has suffered a back injury, and will no longer be on the June 7 IWA-Mid South show in Joliet, Ill. A new lineup has been posted below.
