WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES
In a shocker in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Low Ki made an unannounced return on Saturday and defeated Bryan Danielson to win the heavyweight title, in the opening match of the show! PWG drew about 350 people for its Sunday show. In the main event, Bryan Danielson vs. CIMA went to a draw, as two referees each counted different wrestler’s shoulders down for a three-count. Results of both shows are below.
Sandman debuted in EWF on Saturday and was on the winning team in a tag match.
The Chikara Pro crew of Mike Quackenbush, Gran Akuma and Hallowicked headed to Insanity Pro Wrestling in Indianapolis, Ind., on Saturday.
In some random wrestling news, actor Mickey Rourke (perhaps best known for “9 ½ Weeks) appeared at a WXW show in Allentown, Penn., last week. Rourke is training with Afa Anoa of the Wild Samoans for an upcoming role in a movie titled “The Wrestler.”
