Bellator MMA fighter/TNA wrestler King Mo says he expects to resume his fighting career in about three months following his surprising KO loss to Emanuel Newton last Thursday in the semi-finals of Bellator's Light Heavyweight tournament.

King Mo, 9-2 in MMA, described himself as a "work in progress" and said he "will be back" in post-fight comments addressing the loss. Mo added that he plans to "go back to my roots" by working on his defense, which cost him in the fight against Newton.

During the fight, Mo repeatedly dropped his hands when circling the ring looking for an opportunity to strike Newton. It ultimately cost him when Newton delivered a spinning backfist to Mo's uncovered face for the KO.

However, King Mo said he did not think he was cocky during the fight by routinely dropping his hands, almost encouraging Newton to deliver a punch. He also came close to calling the backfist a lucky punch.

"I didn't even see the shot," King Mo said. "A lot of people saying that I was fighting cocky and with my hands down, but if you watch it, when he missed with his right hand, I threw a right hand and then he came with the spinning backfist. So, he kind of caught me in the act of punching, but no excuses, I'm good, and I will be back and hopefully I get to fight him again in the future."

King Mo also talked about the experience of being knocked out for the first time. "The good thing is I came back pretty quick," Mo said. "When I saw the ref standing over me, I just said, 'Damn!'"

The future TNA wrestler did not say when he will make his pro wrestling debut, but it will likely happen around the time he returns to MMA fighting for Bellator.
