MMATorch Briefing: Fight Night 16 tomorrow, could it be Koschek's last? Alves next contender for Welterweight Title; Torch welterweight rankings up and more Dec 9, 2008 - 9:38:57 PM
UFC presents Fight Night 16: Fight for the Troops live on Spike TV tomorrow night. This three hour fight card is headlined by a bout between Japanese Judo specialist Yoshiyuki Yoshida and perpetual Ultimate Fighter bad guy Josh Koscheck. The event will be broadcast from Fort Bragg in North Carolina, and the entire night will serve as a fundraiser for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, with funds going to the development of a hospital for the treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries suffered in combat.
With events transpiring between Koscheck's camp and Dana White, there is speculation that this could be Koscheck's final fight with the UFC depending on the outcome, and today I took a look at the reasoning behind that and why it should not have come to even speculation about a release. That article can be found here.
