Music is everywhere. Tapping your pencil against the desk at your office (or in my case, at school) is music. Doing jumping jacks in unison with others can be considered a beat. And at the wrestling shows you go to, music.

Obviously, music is needed in wrestling because it adds to the entertainment factor. A show with no music just doesn't seem as entertaining as one with music. Sure there have been bad themes every now and then, such as Bastion Boogers "music" (if you can call farts music) or "Voices," by Rev Theory, better known as Randy Orton's music. Those are just two examples of bad themes. 

The WWE does S2S on their website and some of the guests have included a Welsh metal group called "Lostprophets." Remember that song used for Jeff Hardy promos for a while where the guy sung "Standing on the rooftops, everybody scream your heart out"? That's them. They have the utmost respect for wrestlers because, well, what do musicians and wrestlers both do?

Travel. Lostprophets have headlined V Festival, Download, Reading and Leeds, all big international festivals. They have always been big WWE fans but after they toured for the first time they grew to have the utmost respect for wrestlers due to their travel. They realized how similar their jobs are, aside from the, you know, wrestling parts of it.

Music and wrestling mix so well do to the similar lifestyles. Think about it. Musicians are exposed to drugs daily and wrestlers are as well. People pay to see them and scream and be heard. The strain is huge on both to perform to the best of their ability and send the paying fans home happy. Wrestlers are under the spotlight from websites like the Torch, and musicians are from Rolling Stone, Allmusic, and tabloids. 

There's been feel good stories in both as well. Andrew McMahon (no relation to Vinny Mac) from Jack's Mannequin was diagnosed with leukimia the day his band finished Everything in Transit, their debut album. He almost died and grew to respect life in general and in September this year put another amazing album out. On the wrestling spectrum, you got Rey- Rey. It's amazing how he's main evented and been a top draw for WWE when shorter than some kids at my junior high school.

Also, there's jerks in both buisnesses. Though one could argue that there's jerks everywhere, it's about music and wrestling so shut up. Sorry. Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit dragged his band down with him when he basically wanted more money and cost Bizkit their record deal (which they have regained since then). Likewise, Hulk Hogan no-sold the Vaderbomb and that hurt Vader's carrer big time, and the Hulkster controlled backstage just as Water bottle Motorhead Sledgehammer Sideburns gameface does today. Then there's HBK who, in case you didn't know, sings his own theme. He's like the kid everybody hates who brags about say, getting the top time on the mile, and can live up to his hype.
