B. Balment asks: In this week's Ross Report, Good Ol' J.R. said that WWE expected "Ultimate" Dragon to be ready to debut with them in 2003. "Ultimate" Dragon being Yoshihiro Asai? Wasn't his career ended several years ago by an incompetent surgeon (is it me, or does that sound like the beginnings of a Vince Russo angle)?

WK: Asai returned to wrestling in Japan on Sept. 8. He did retire a few years ago after neck surgery went poorly.

Peter Henderson of New York, N.Y. asks: What exactly happened between Kevin Kelly (Nailz) and Vince McMahon? I've read and heard where Kelly attacked Vince, and versions range from a simple choking to a vicious bludgeoning. What did happen and what caused the rift?

WK: Torch Newsletter #206 (Dec. 21, 1992) reported that Kevin Wacholz (a/k/a Kevin Kelly, Nailz) filed an incident report with the Brown County Sheriff's department on Dec. 14, 1992 claiming Vince McMahon sexually assaulted him (specifically claiming he grabbed and fondled him) during a discussion about money backstage at a WWF event. Wacholz said he shoved McMahon to the ground at which point wrestlers and agents then intervened and separated the two.

During Vince McMahon's steroid trial in New York in 1994. Kevin Wacholz claimed that McMahon took him inside a trailer and told him to get on steroids when he entered the WWF. The notion was ridiculous at face value because Wacholz wore a loose orange full body prison outfit as part of his gimmick, so if any character ever didn't need to be toned or muscular, it was him. Wacholz was fired from the WWF shortly into his run as Nailz and I remember there being a backstage argument between he and Vince McMahon that precipitated it. Any reader with a better memory than mine remember the specifics? Wacholz said on the witness stand that he "hated" Vince McMahon.

Adam asks: What is Hogan doing right now? I herd that he's on injury. Also, is Kevin Nash coming back a Diesel?

WK: Hulk Hogan is taking time off after a money dispute with Vince McMahon over the Australian tour. Hogan was also tired and unenthusiastic about being on the road so much. His body was sore and he wasn't having fun being part of a losing product. He may return since it's unlikely he'll want his final match to be losing to Brock in the way he did, but he won't likely work a full TV or house show schedule again. I haven't heard anything about Nash returning under the Diesel moniker.
