Ring of Honor returned to the Gateway Center in Collinsville on the road to "Best in the World." The show was packed as there were 40-50 people with standing room only tickets in what is probably one of the smaller venues ROH runs. The crowd was pretty diverse in age with a lot of children and families there, more so than I recall from past shows at Gateway Center.

(1) Mark Briscoe beat Adam Page with a flying elbow. Fun opener and the crowd loves the Briscoes.

(2) Silas Young beat Cheeseburger. Another fun match. Silas is very entertaining live and the wrestlers played off each other very well.

(3) Michael Bennett beat Dalton Castle with lots of interference from Matt Taven and Maria Kanellis. The crowd was into Dalton. The match was nothing special, but it was fine.

(4) Matt Sydal & Delirious beat ROH Tag champions The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) in a non-title match when Delirious pinned Kazarian. This match was really good. The Addiction are great and you had a St. Louis homecoming for Sydal and Delirious, so the crowd was really into it.

(5) B.J. Whitmer beat The Romantic Touch. This was an unadvertised match and came after intermission. It was short, so that was good.

(6) Hanson beat Matt Taven. Taven came out by himself initially. Eventually Bennett and Maria came down leading to Raymond Rowe appearing as the neutralizer leading to a clean win for Hansen. Rowe then called out Jay Lethal leading to...

(7) ROH TV champion Jay Lethal beat Raymond Rowe in a non-title match. Another good match. The finish saw both wrestlers tease a ref bump before they both then took out the ref. Rowe then hit basically a GTS to the back of Lethal’s head leading to a visual pinfall while the ref was down. Truth Martini got involved at this point, leading to Lethal using the Book of Truth for the win.

(8) Michael Elgin & Moose beat ROH World champion Jay Briscoe & Roderick Strong in a tag team main event when Moose pinned Strong. The match was okay. The crowd was really into Moose and he was fine in the ring.

After the match, there was some sort of angle with Briscoe, Strong, and Elgin that the crowd couldn’t hear, but I am assuming it was to set up something for Saturday night in Nashville.
