WWE Live show results
May 23, 2015
Worcester, Mass.
Report by Ryan Gray of Shrewsbury, Mass.

I attended the house show Saturday night in Worcester with my wife and two boys. The house was pretty full. I would say about 90 percent full.

(1) Neville beat King Barrett. About 10 solid minutes. The crowd was way into Neville and hated Barrett. The Red Arrow got a large ovation.

(2) Erick Rowan (w/Luke Harper) beat Zack Ryder. The match was surprisingly giving 10-12 minutes. A 50/50 offensive match until Harper interfered and Rowan won with his finisher. After the match they did a Dudley Death Drop on Ryder.

(3) Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) beat Heath Slater & Bo Dallas. Mostly comedy, but solid. Bo and Slater make a good pairing. I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring it to TV. Short match that PTP won with a roll-up in about five minutes.

Post-match, Slater and Bo argued, saying they didn't come here to lose and they wanted another tag team. Out came the Mega Powers. Damien Sandow and Curtis Axel came out in that order. Huge pop for both. They were in Sandow's hometown and most of the fans knew it.

(4) Damien Sandow & Curtis Axel beat Heath Slater & Bo Dallas. Bo took off as soon as they hit the ring. After signature spots from the Mega Powers, they won in two minutes. Sandow celebrated with what seemed to be family after the match.

(5) Dean Ambrose beat Kane. Dean was over huge with the crowd. Dean won in a brawl in about 10-15 minutes. Kane got little to no reaction at any point in the match.

(6) Divas champion Nikki Bella beat Tamina. Nikki won with a roll-up in about 5-7 minutes. Good reactions for Nikki.

(7) WWE tag champions New Day beat Cesaro & Tyson Kidd. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods wrestled for the new day. New Day honestly had the most heat of the night. They were very good and easily had the most mic time. They delivered. Kofi had family at ringside, so they played off that. They also played off Tom Brady and Deflategate. Cheers for Cesaro and Kidd matched heat for New Day from the crowd. This was easily match of the night. Great effort in a solid 15 minutes. Kofi won with a roll-up on Cesaro after Big E. interfered.

(8) U.S. champion John Cena beat Rusev in a steel cage. Solid 15 minutes. The crowd was 100 percent into the match and 95 percent pro-Cena in his home state. The match ended when Lana came down and slammed the cage door into Rusev's face. (The previous night, she slammed the door on Cena.) Then, Cena hit the AA for the win. Solid effort.

Overall, great house show. Last time WWE was in Worcester it was for a Smackdown taping in January 2014 and C.M. Punk headlined.

Biggest Pops: Cena, Ambrose, Lana, Neville, Cesaro & Kidd.

Most Heat: New Day, King Barrett, Rusev, Bo Dallas.
