WWE European Tour Results
April 9, 2015
Dublin, Ireland
Report by PWTorch correspondent Alan

Great show. It looked like a full house and importantly the merch was much better from when I was there two years ago.

The show opened with Neville against Finn Balór - massive pop for the hometown boy Balór.

(1) Finn Balor beat Neville. Quality match with high spots galore. A tight, fluid match from both guys. Finn won with the Coup de Grace.

Afterward, Balor celebrated with an Irish flag before Sheamus's old music hit to bring out the Celtic Warrior to get in the ring. Sheamus cut a promo on the new blood, but while mid-promoting these guys, Sheamus heeled on them with thrust kicks and laid them out. Sheamus proceeded to insult them and UFC fighter Conor McGregor all the while putting himself over. (Probably the Best Match and segment of the night; Finn is going to be a big star.)

(2) WWE tag champions Tyson Kidd & Cesaro (w/Natalya) beat New Day (Kofi & Big E.) to retain the WWE Tag Titles. This was a comedy match really built on the "New Day ... Sucks" chant that's been about the last few weeks. Some nice heel-building here and tight work as always from the tag champs. They won after a hot tag segment.

(3) Jimmy Uso beat Fandango. (Jey is injured and not advertised for the tour.) The kids loved the entrance and energy from Uso, but to me, this match was blah. Uso won after a top-rope splash.

(4) R-Truth beat Xavier Woods (w/New Day). Truth really got the fans on his side with this match. More "New Day ... Sucks" stuff by Truth and the fans before Truth won.

(5) IC champion Daniel Bryan & Dolph Ziggler & Erick Rowan beat Sheamus & Bad News Barrett & Bray Wyatt in a six-man tag match. Disappointed with this, as it felt shoehorned into the show. (I thought we were getting Bryan vs. Barrett.) But, seeing all the entrances was cool. I felt sorry for Rowan - he clearly hasn't found his way and wasn't over in the slightest. Wyatt's entrance was awesome live and the guy just has a great work ethic. The faces won after Bryan pinned Barrett. Sheamus cuts another promo berating the fans and insulting them for some cheap heel heat.

(6) Natalya & Emma & Rosa Mendes beat Alicia Fox & Summer Rae & Cameron in a six-Divas tag match. Back and forth from the ladies with Natalya getting the best bits and tap-out win with the Sharpshooter.

(7) Damien Mizdow beat The Miz. Cool action here and a nice continuation from WrestleMania with these two. Mizdow slipped back into Sandow with his mannerisms and moveset. He did a nostalgia stunt double sequence before finishing Miz.

(8) Roman Reigns beat Big Show in a Dublin Street Fight. Great match here and a great reaction from all for Reigns. The vocal males were very supportive of him. Two tables, a kendo stick, steel steps, and steel chairs made it into this match before Reigns won.

All in all, a good show. Balor and Sheamus got the biggest pops along with Bryan, Ziggler, and Reigns. The opening match was so good in my opinion that a lot of what followed fell flat. But, overall, a great atmosphere and show put on by WWE.
