WWE Holiday Tour show results
December 26, 2014
New York City at Madison Square Garden
Report by J.A. D'Amato, PWTorch reader

The announced return date is February 27, 2015 with Hulk Hogan scheduled to appear.

At the start, fans were given the choice of a match or dance-off between Fandango and Jack Swagger via text vote.

(1) IC champion Dolph Ziggler beat Luke Harper. Ziggler got the near-capacity crowd fired up with his entrance. Harper dominated early. They both got nearfalls with their finishing maneuvers. Ziggler kicked out of a second clothesline and scored the pin after a second Zig-Zag.

Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury jumped Dolph after the match and Seth Rollins came in a gave a Curb Stomp. He greeted everyone with "Happy Holidays from The Authority!"

(2) Ryback beat Curtis Axel. Ryback destroyed Axel quickly after kicking out of the Perfectplex.

(3) NXT champion Sami Zayn beat Adrian Neville. Both got surprisingly strong reactions and lots of "NXT" chants from the MSG crowd. An early "Ole Ole Ole" chant also broke out. Zayn retained in a tremendous bout.

Kane gave a backstage promo vowing to ruin Randy Orton's return.

(x) Jack Swagger and Fandango had a dance-off, as voted 55/45. Rosa did a seductive dance before the vote was revealed, then Fandango and Rosa danced first to a chorus of boos. Swagger did a J.J. Watt-like dance with a "We The People" salute before Fandango attacked him. Swagger turned it around into the anklelock before Fandango and Rosa ran off.

(4) WWE tag champions The Miz & Damien Sandow beat The Usos. Miz grabbed the mic beforehand and destroyed New York sports teams. Unfortunately, all of it was the truth. The Usos interrupted and got the crowd to cheer for Mizdow before singing Empire State of Mind. Miz and Mizdow retained. Miz got the pin after a missed Uso dive.

(5) Randy Orton beat Kane in his return match after being off TV for several weeks. Orton got a strong reaction before quickly disposing of Kane with the RKO.

(6) Alicia Fox & Emma beat The Bellas (Divas champion Nikki Bella & Brie Bella). All were dressed as Santa's Helpers except for Nikki. Alicia pinned Brie when Paige hit a fast count. Paige decked Nikki after the match.

Santino Marella came out to recite a poem and was interrupted by the Big Show.

(7) Big Show pinned Erick Rowan after a short brawl.

(8) John Cena beat Seth Rollins in a Street Fight. Rollins came out with Noble and Mercury. Cena got the biggest pop of the night easily with less boos than usual from the MSG crowd. Cena fought off Noble and Mercury with a double Attitude Adjustment. Then, Kane, Orton, Big Show, and Ziggler all ran in. Cena won after a second-rope AA onto a table.

Overall a solid, entertaining three-plus-hour show.
