Cardiff, Wales
Report by Tom Kennedy, PWTorch Welsh correspondent

Cardiff sounded like the same show as London, apart from main event. We got John Cena swapped with Dean Ambrose. The show was not a sell-out, as there were lots of gaps in the crowd. I also attended the previous two shows here, which were both sell-outs. It could be to do it being a 'school night' on this occasion, but also Daniel Bryan was advertised on the last two shows (not that we actually got him either time). While the main event was a great match, maybe Ambrose is not enough to sell out house shows. It's not that big of a house, either.

(1) Sheamus beat The Miz (w/Damien Mizdow in his corner). Good match - the crowd loved Mizdow mimicking Miz.

(2) Los Matadores & El Torito beat Slater Gator (Heath Slater & Titus O'Neil) in a "two-and-a-half-man" tag match. Meh.

(3) Mark Henry beat Xavier Woods. Quick match - Woods came out and asked Henry on the mic what has happened to him. He said he used to idolise him as a kid. (This is despite Henry pretty much being a heel for most of his time in WWE and when Woods was a kid, Henry would most likely have been in his Sexual Chocolate gimmick fathering hands with elderly ladies.) Woods got most off the offense with plenty of kicks to Henry, but when Woods went for a top rope splash, Henry caught him for the World's Strongest Slam for the pin.

(4) Divas champion A.J. Lee beat Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella) & Paige in a handicap match. This was supposed to be a tag match, but Nikki prevented Brie from teaming with A.J. and put her in the heel corner. But, Brie distracted Nikki with a "Yes!" chant, allowing A.J. to score the pin with a roll-up. Paige was barely featured in the match, as Nikki refused to tag her in.

(5) Big Show beat U.S. champion Rusev (w/Lana) via DQ; Rusev retained the U.S. Title. Rusev used a chair for the DQ, then left with Lana. Mark Henry came down, passed them by, and came to the ring, but Show ended up eating a WMD from Show.

(6) Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter) beat Damien Sandow (w/out Miz) via submission to the Anklelock. Zeb got all proud Welsh to join them in a 'We the People' shout after the match.

(7) Kofi Kingston & Big E. beat Eric Rowan & Luke Harper. Fairly good match; I was surprised the faces got the win. It suppose it doesn't matter, as when any of these four appear on TV again, I don't think they'll be in their current roles.

(8) Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins in a Street Fight. Best match of the night - chairs, kendo sticks, MiTB briefcases, and tables all came into play. Ambros hits Rollins with a top-rope elbow drop for the win.

Overall, a strange card considering TV storylines. Given who was on the show, I expected Sheamus in a U.S. Title re-match and Big Show vs. Mark Henry. Both would have made more sense and made for a more interesting show. Instead, we got largely the matches they use to fill Raw when I fast-forward my DVR. Cardiff seemed to get the 'B' Town treatment again - John Cena rejoined this tour and they switched him with Ambrose - why? This was booked before Roman Reigns was injured, so that's not an excuse. And they pull Randy Orton off the tour just as he's getting interesting again? Bray Wyatt was advertised and I was expecting him to interfere in the main event given TV angles, but there he was in Dublin. And Sheamus was over here?

All in all, a great main event, but fairly weak undercard. For what we paid for our tickets, I'm not sure we got our money's worth on this occasion. Re-arranging the card and delivering matches that matter currently on TV might have helped.
