August 9, 2014
Abbotsford, B.C., Canada
Report by Drew MacIntyre, PWTorch reader

The arena was sold out! It's not every year that WWE comes to the Fraser Valley, let alone B.C.

Before the show started, we got to choose the type of contest between Tyson Kidd, Sin Cara, and El Torito against Titus O'Neil, Hornwoggle, and Heath Slater via Twitter. Options were tag team match or dance-off.

(1/2) Big Show beat Damien Sandow. Sandow was dressed up as a "Canadian," and came out to a few boo, which turned into massive heat when he insulted Abbotsford and Canada. Once in the ring, he said, "Today my losing streak comes to an end! I will face whoever walks out to this ring and beat him." Out came Big Show to the biggest pop of the night. The match had lots of funny moments and Show won with the chokeslam. Sandow then lost to Adam Rose.

(3) Tyson Kidd & Sin Cara & El Torito beat Heath Slater & Titus O'Neil & Hornswoggle in a six-man tag match. The crowd welcomed Kidd back to Canada.

(4) Rusev (w/Lana) beat Big E. Rusev and Lana came out with the Russian flag. Lana said that Canada is just like America, except weaker! Out came Big E. to a pretty big pop since he was waving the Canadian flag. The match was pretty good. They teased Big E. winning via Big Ending, but he ended up losing to Rusev's Camel Clutch submission.

(5) Goldust & Stardust beat Ryback & Curtis Axel. It was a good match, but it wasn't anything we haven't seen on TV before. Ryback got "Goldberg" chants the whole match and he was loving the attention. Stardust and Goldust won via pinfall.

(6) Divas champion A.J. beat Natalya and Paige in a three-way match to retain the Divas Title. It was a pretty entertaining match and the crowd gave Natalya the home-country love. A.J. got "C-M-Punk" chants every time she dominated, then won by making Paige tap.

Next was Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose. Rollins came out first to the biggest heat of the night. There were loud "You Sold Out" chants every time he had the advantage over Ambrose . He made his way to the ring, grabbed the mic, and said he has nothing to show for Abbotsford. Rollins added that he is Mr. Money in the Bank and he would be WWE champion right now if not for one man, Dean Ambrose. So, he's just going to go home and rest up before his Summerslam match against Dean Ambrose because the people don't deserve to see it. When he made his way out of the ring, Ambrose came out to the second biggest pop of the night and started striking Rollins to begin the match.

(7) Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins via DQ. This was arguably the best match of the night. Both went at it from the start to finish. Ambrose won after being hit by the MITB briefcase. After the bell rang, Rollins assaulted Ambrose, but after he stopped to taunt the crowd, Ambrose got up with the briefcase and used it on Rollins . He eventually clotheslined Rollins out of the ring. That's when a fan jumped the fence to try get to Rollins, but security was fast and stopped him. I was seated three rows behind the man on the floor seats.

Next was the main event of Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton. Both Orton and Ziggler came out to a few big pops, but both also had heat - most of it was on Orton. Once they were both in the ring, Orton got out a few times and teased leaving a few times also. He grabbed the mic and said, "Abbotsford, if you think I have something to prove to you guys, you're dead ass wrong!"

(8) Dolph Ziggler beat Seth Rollins. The match went back and forth and Orton did his signature moves - the stomp, Rope DDT, and later the RKO. W thought it was all over, but Ziggler kicked out! The whole building was in shock, including Orton. He then positioned himself for the punt, but Ziggler dodged and hit the superkick. It looked like Orton's tooth got lnocked out and Ziggler immediately hit Zig-Zag for the win. Good match. The crowd liked it a lot, but the Rollins vs. Ambrose match got a lot more enthusiasm from the crowd. Not that this match didn't.

Biggest Pops: Big Show and Ambrose.
Biggest Heat: Sandow , Rusev, and Rollins.

Good show. Hopefully they come here next time with bigger names, though. The event started at 7:30 p.m. PST and ended at 10:10 p.m. PST.
