I arrived at the show just about the time the doors opened and quickly found my seat. About thirty minutes before the show started, a commercial for the WWE Network aired and they announced you could vote for a match or a dance-off between Adam Rose and Damien Sandow (or whoever he decides to dress up as). Tons of Wooos before the show kicked off. Very active crowd.
Show time. Seth Rollins appeared on the Tron to major boos and told Ambrose that his time for stopping him from cashing in MITB was over. The Usos then appeared on the Tron and got their hometown crowd going. Eden was the ring announcer for the night.
First out was Rusev and Lana to boos. Rusev appears small in person compared to TV. Lana cut her typical promo praising Vladimir Putin. Jack Swagger came out to a monster pop and loud "We The People" chants.
(1) Rusev beat Jack Swagger via submission to The Accolade in about 15:00. Very good match. The crowd was very active for this one.
Kane then appeared on the Tron to talk about how he would be the Last Man Standing against Roman Reigns in the main event.
Damien Sandow then came out dressed in an undershirt tanktop and swimsuit to small boos. He called Florida the stupidest state in America. Adam Rose then arrived with a few Rosebuds to a good pop (even that stupid bunny was there). The fans voted for a dance-off at 61 percent. Boooooo.
Rose danced to his own music, then Sandow hit him from behind after Rose did a twerk. But, Rose ended the brief brawl with the Party Foul. Thankfully it quickly ended. Sandow then stayed in the ring and issued an open challenge claiming people paid to see him win. Cue Khali. Seeing him walk live is painful to see.
(2) Great Khali beat Damien Sandow with a chop to the head in 15 seconds.
(3) Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins via DQ in 20:00. Rollins came out to loud boos and "You Sold Out" chants; Ambrose entered to loud cheers. Amazing match with tons of nearfalls. I must make a note of this: Ambrose hit a Tornado DDT out of the corner and Rollins sold it like a boss by head-standing before dropping. Rollins was DQ'ed when he beat down Ambrose with the Money In The Bank briefcase.
They played a commercial about Connor, the kid who had cancer, and it was a very touching commercial.
Next was a triple threat for the U.S Title. Dolph Ziggler was out first to a small pop to my surprise. Out come Cesaro to crickets to my surprise once again. Tough crowd on these two. Then, Sheamus got a huge pop as he made his entrance.
(4) U.S. champion Sheamus beat Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler in a three-way match to retain the U.S. Title. Sheamus won with a Brogue Kick to Cesaro as he set up Ziggler for the Neutralizer. Another good match. This show was very impressive in the first half.
[Intermission]
(5) Nikki Bella & Summer Rae & Paige beat Layla & Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes in a six-Divas tag match. Paige made Fox tap to her submission finisher for the win. Good match for what it was. Nikki was introduced to a loud pup, Summer Rae was out to a small applause, and Paige came out to a monster pop. She was over in Florida. As for the heels, crickets for Layla, some cheers for Fox, and no reaction for Rosa.
Next was a three-team Tag Title match. Ryback & Curtis Axel were introduced first to decent heat. The Wyatts's interruption played next to a monster pop, then only Harper and Rowan came out to their new music. Giant pop for the Usos coming out last.
(6) WWE tag champions The Usos beat Rybaxel and The Wyatts in a three-team elimination tag match to retain the WWE Tag Titles. Ryback & Axel were eliminated first after Axel hit a Perfectplex on Rowan, but he ate the Uso Splash. Usos then retained over the Wyatts after a very entertaining sequence.
Main Event Time. Kane entered to monster boos; Roman Reigns entered to what I call a Stone Cold Pop in his home market.
(7) Roman Reigns beat Kane in a Last Man Standing match after spearing him through a table. Abolustely amazing moment after the match when Roman thanked the fans for coming and brought out the Usos to help celebrate in front of their hometown fans.
Overall, a very memorable show. Highly recommend seeing a house show this year.
