WWE Live show results
June 15, 2014
Erie, Pa.
Report by Chris Catalano, PWTorch reader

I was at the WWE house show at the Erie Insurance Arena with my son, Joey. We sat second row against the railing on the main aisle. Here are the results from Sunday's show.

(1) Dolph Ziggler beat The Miz with the Zig-Zag. Lots of stalling from The Miz, including grabbing the mic to say he just got back from shooting a "major motion picture" in Vancouver. He told Ziggler no hitting his face and kept calling it his "money-maker." My son got a hug from Dolph on his way out after the match.

(2) Bo Dallas beat Xavier Woods with a Bo-Dog.

(3) Los Matadores & El Torito beat Heath Slater & Damian Sandow & Hornswoggle in a six-man tag match sans the released Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal. Good comedy match with some high-flying spots from Los Matadores. El Torito pinned Hornswoggle then stole his "Joe Dirt-looking" mullet wig.

(4) Rusev beat Curtis Axel with a Camel Clutch. Lana trashed the United States, the lazy, fat people of Erie, and Father's Day. Several U-S-A chants. Then, Curtis Axel's music hit. He said he knows that most of us don't like him, but he couldn't stay in the back and listen to Lana any longer. He got very patriotic, started another U-S-A chant, then talked about Father's Day and his father, Mr. Perfect. Not a normal Rusev fast squash, as Axel did get in some offense. Rusev and Lana got frustrated and tried to leave, but Axel ran after Rusev and brought him back to the ring.

(5) Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins via DQ from a low blow by Rollins. Great match. Rollins spent a lot of time taunting Ambrose. He grabbed a chair, but the ref took it before he could use it. Then, Ambrose grabbed the chair and when he was about to use it, Rollins gave him a low blow for the DQ.

[Intermission]

(6) Divas champion Paige beat Natalya and Alesha Fox in triple threat match via submission on Fox to retain the Divas Title.

(7) R-Truth beat Titus O'Neil. Titus came out and trashed Erie and called everyone losers. Titus had most of the offense, but R-Truth won with a quick roll-up. Titus got on the mic and insisted it was only a two count and demanded that R-Truth come back to finish the match. He did and...

(7b) R-Truth beat Titus O'Neil. Truth immediately hit his finisher and got another pin. A woozy Titus got on the mic again and said he wanted another chance. If he lost, he wouldn't come back to Erie. Rather than R-Truth, Adam Rose came out with a small group of Rosebuds.

(7c) Adam Rose beat Titus O'Neil. Rose wore big sunglasses the whole time. A quick roll-up and pin by Rose for the win.

(8) Roman Reigns beat Bray Wyatt in a Street Fight, which was chosen by the audience via applause. Amazing match. A ton of offense by Wyatt. He used a kendo stick and the steps. Bray went out of the ring and a "We Want Tables" chant started. Bray looked under the ring, then went over and grabbed the mic. He asked if we wanted tables and the crowd quickly started chanting "Yes." Wyatt immediately yelled No! into the mic. Later, Reigns left the ring and grabbed the mic and said he wants tables. The crowd started screaming, but Bray decked Roman. He then grabbed the mic and yelled "No." Reigns later set up a table, but Wyatt gave him his version of the Rock Bottom through the table. Bray then took the bottom half of the steps and set them upright in the aisle. He whipped Reigns into them twice, which was very loud when they hit the cement. Seth Rollins came down to interfere, which brought out Dean Ambrose with another kendo stick. After some back and forth, Rollins ran off. Reigns speared Wyatt through a second table in the corner for the win.

Post-match, Ambrose and Reigns celebrated in the ring and at the top of the ramp. On his way out of the ring, Reigns stopped when he saw my son holding up a sign for him, put his hand on my son's head, and quickly smiled at him. An incredible ending to a special Father's Day.
